Current Research Interests:

Theories and experiments in photonic devices, nonlinear- and electro- optics materials such

as liquid crystals, fibers and nano-structured and plasmonic metamaterials. Studies of coherent

optical wave mixing processes, beam/image/signal processing, optical switching and

modulation, optical limiting and sensor protection applications enabled by unique properties of

these novel optical materials.
