What is a balanced curriculum?
Two points need to be considered:
1. Early experience in literacy are significant
2. Early childhood is a critical window of opportunity
for language development
Curriculum is the overall plan for promoting
childrens learning. It includes all of the experiences and activities in
educational program.

Language arts program does all things in the
environment that simultaneously supports
children and adults, so that all children feel
confident enough to take the risks associated
with real learning and become self-directed
language learner, both now and in the future.
