Qwaed-i-Urdu written by Moulvi Abdul Haq (1914) is very famous and widely

discussed Urdu grammar book. People generally know it as the best book of

Urdu grammar but they do not know much about the criticism on this book. The

general reader does not know what changes were made by the author in

different editions of the book. The article provides a comprehensive review of

the contents of the book as well as a research based critical study of the

observations made on the book and changes made by the author. It provides a

fair ground for the preparation of critical edition of the book.
