As role models, the Special Speakers kick start each Programme Launch and bring the achievement of dreams into the curriculum.

Be the Best you can is certificated by ASDAN, the curriculum development organisation and internationally recognised awarding body which offers programmes and qualifications that grow skills for learning and employment.

Be the Best you can Be! provides three credits towards its Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) GCSE equivalent qualification and can be used to gain the ASDAN Key Steps certificate.

Mirfield Free Grammar School– What we liked most about this flexible Programme is that it is not just a

one-visit initiative like so many others – the Be the Best you can Be! Programme integrates into the curriculum across multiple subjects including PHSE and PE, inspiring every student through workbooks and themes over more than one term. Our students, indeed the whole School, have been engaged and empowered to follow their dreams in whatever subject including art, drama, maths, music and science, culminating in a celebration event with the presentation of the unique medallions from the Royal Mint.

– The staff have also greatly benefited especially from the training provided at the CPD Staff Development Day that precedes the visit by the Olympian or Paralympian Special Speaker to Launch the Programme with the students.
