I've been in the car care industry for over 25 years and I've seen a lot ofchanges. When I started out, car care products were limited to car wash, polish,and wax. Detailing at home consisted of a quick wash and wax! If you wantedany compounding or paint correcting, you took your vehicle to a professionaldetailer or body shop.

When I decided to venture into the manufacture of car care products nearly tenyears ago, the industry still favored the professional. Products weren't as user-friendly as they are today, and the consumer demand wasn't as strong for do-it-yourself car care. For these reasons, I created and launched Detailer's Pride forthe professional detailing industry.

Detailer's Pride was my first brand of products, and creating it was quite anexperience. It was learning process as well as a creating process. I knew what Iwanted from a product, but I had to know what a detailer wanted. These guysare the ones in the garages using the products every day, and their opinions arewhat shaped the Detailer's Pride line. It took countless conversations, producttests, and re-formulations to arrive at the products that finally received theDetailer's Pride label. In the end, I believe we created some of the best productson the market…

But that was over a decade ago. Time certainly flies! Since then, I've added toand improved Pinnacle Natural Brilliance, and I've created Wolfgang ConcoursSeries, a line of products formulated using state-of-the-art German technology.With each brand, I discovered that car care technology is constantly changing.Research into paint care has revealed oils and cleaning agents that actuallyleave the paint in better condition than before it was washed. New polymersallow waxes and sealants to last longer and protect better than ever before. Thelatest cleaning technology replaces harsh solvents with surface-friendlysurfactants that can be used almost anywhere. The industry has come a longway!

With all these improvements in car care, I thought it was the perfect time toupdate Detailer's Pride. I took everything I have learned through thedevelopment of Pinnacle Natural Brilliance and Wolfgang Concours Series andapplied it to this new project. I improved the formulas, the labels, and the nameto reflect what is now possible in car care. To celebrate the rebirth of Detailer'sPride, I've abbreviated the name to DPTM.

DPTM consists of 20 completely new products. I've re-formulated a few oldfavorites to reflect modern surface enhancement technology, and I've createdseveral products from scratch. All of them are packaged with new, detailed userinstructions and a fresh, new look. Once again, I relied on professional detailersand enthusiasts to try out these products and give us feedback. Two additions to the line that I'mparticularly proud of are DPTM Wheel Glaze and DPTM Spray Surface Shield.Wheel Glaze is an advanced wheel surface cleaner and protectant that reducesbrake dust adhesion and preserves the wheel's appearance. Wheel protection isstill a relatively new idea in the industry and we're happy to have one of the firstwheel protectants on the market.

DPTM Spray Surface Shield is one of the first products of its kind. It's a premiumpaint sealant in a spray formula. It provides virtually the same paint protectionand enhancement as a traditional sealant, but the spray formula makes itexceptionally quick and easy to apply. Wheel cleaners are among the most hazardous chemicals you'll find in your detailingkit. Since wheels are typically coated with brake dust, manufacturers created veryaggressive formulas that are marketed as "one-step" or "spray-on, rinse-off" wheelcleaners. Brake dust contains an adhesive that is used to make brake pads, and thisadhesive makes the tiny metal shavings stick to the wheels. Most wheel cleanersattempt to eat through the brake dust with harmful solvents like Ethylene GlycolMonobutyl Ether. Brake dust is the single most destructive contaminant thatplagues your vehicle's wheels. It contains carbon and anadhesive used in the manufacture of brake pads. Add redhot metal shavings to the mix and you've got a recipe forcorrosion.
