2 We believe that God always initiates with sinners, so we begin worship with his invitation and command to us to gather in His name.

Hymn of Praise The Church’s One Foundation Stone

The church‟s one foundation is Jesus Christ, her Lord: She is his new creation by water and the Word;

From heav‟n he came and sought her to be his holy bride; With his own blood he bought her and for her life he died.

Elect from every nation, yet one o‟er all the earth.

Her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth; One holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food,

And to one hope she presses, with ev‟ry grace endued.

Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, And mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won;

O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, Like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee.

Commissioning of the Greg Smith Family for Cherokee, NC Mission Trip O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus Francis

O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free; Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me.

Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Your love; Leading onward, leading homeward, to Your glorious rest above.

Oh the deep, deep love, all I need and trust

Is the deep, deep love of Jesus.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Spread His praise from shore to shore; How He came to pay our ransom, through the saving cross He bore;

How He watches o‟er His loved ones, those He died to make His own; How for them He‟s interceding, pleading now before the throne.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Far surpassing all the rest:

It‟s an ocean full of blessing, in the midst of every test. O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Mighty Savior, precious Friend;

You will bring us home to glory, where Your love will never end.

Forgiven by the King Call to Confession of Sin Ephesians 4:22-24 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Water You turned into wine Opened the eyes of the blind

There‟s no one like You None like You

Into the darkness you shine

Out of the ashes we Rise There‟s no one like You

None like You.

Our God is greater, our God is stronger God You are higher than any other

Before the Throne of God Above Bancroft & Cook

Before the throne of God above, I have a strong, a perfect plea,

A great High Priest whose name is “Love,” Whoever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart;

I know that while in heav'n He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart. No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,

And tells me of the guilt within, Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end to all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, My sinful soul is counted free; For God, the Just, is satisfied

To look on him and pardon me. To look on him and pardon me.

Behold him there! The risen Lamb, My perfect, spotless Righteousness,

The great unchangeable I AM, The King of glory and of grace! One with Himself I cannot die,

My soul is purchased by His blood; My life is hid with Christ on high,

With Christ, my Savior and my God. With Christ, my Savior and my God.

Prayers of Thanksgiving & Petition Elder Blake Temple Offering

Taught by the King Sermon3 Pastor Brad Eades “Perfectly Misrepresented” John 17:6-11

Invited by the King The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper Communion, also called The Lord‟s Supper or Eucharist, is the family meal of Christians. We invite all committed followers of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament: those who are baptized members of a congregation that proclaims the gospel, who are at peace with God and their neighbor, and who seek strength to live in a deeper communion with Jesus. If you are not a Christian, or you are not prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer. We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with his people, the Church.

3 4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.

How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds Newton

How sweet the name of Jesus sounds in a believer‟s ear! It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds, and drives away his fear.

It makes the wounded spirit whole, and calms the troubled breast;

„Tis manna to the hungry soul, and to the weary rest.

Dear Name! The rock on which I build, my shield and hiding place, My never-failing treas‟ry filled with boundless stores of grace.

Jesus, my Shepherd, Brother, Friend, my Prophet, Priest, and King,

My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End, accept the praise I bring.

Blessed by the King Benediction4 Numbers 6:24-26 “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” My Chains Are Gone Newton/Tomlin

My chains are gone, I‟ve been set free. My God, my Savior has ransomed me,

And like a flood His mercy reigns; Unending love, amazing grace.

4 Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God‟s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
