Oh, the promises of God, the rock on which I stand, The truths to which I cling.

His love that knows no bounds; He showers us with grace, Withholding no good thing.

When I stumble and my faith is small,

I will call Your name, great God who saves.

And I would have despaired if I had not believed That You would come to me, great God who saves.

And in my darkest hour, Your mercy and Your power Are reaching out to me, great God who saves.

Oh, the mystery of God, who holds all space and time,

Yet knows my every need. The vastness of Your power, the strength You give the weak;

I soar on eagle’s wings.

And in my pain and in my need, You heard me calling out Your name. When I was blind and could not see,

You stepped in and saved a wretch like me, And saved a wretch like me.

Great God who saves. I Give You My Heart Morgan

This is my desire, to honor You; Lord, with all my heart, I worship You; All I have within me, I give You praise;

All that I adore is in You.

Lord, I give You my heart, I give You my soul, I live for You alone;

Every breath that I take, every moment I’m awake, Lord, have Your way in me.

Rock of Ages Toplady

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, from Thy wounded side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure, cleanse me from its guilt and power.

Not the labors of my hands can fulfill Thy law’s demands; Could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow,

All for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress; helpless, look to Thee for grace;

Foul, I to the Fountain fly; wash me, Savior, or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyelids close in death; When I soar to worlds unknown, see Thee on Thy judgment throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee. Prayers of Thanksgiving & Petition Offering Anthem Fairest Lord Jesus M. Hayes Sermon3 Pastor Tommy Lee Series: “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)

L. “Hear and Understand”: A Very Important Passage, Part II Matthew 15:1-20 The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper A Word About Communion - The bread and juice you see on the Communion table may not look like much to the casual observer. In fact, it is merely bread and juice. What makes this meal special is that the Lord Jesus Christ is spiritually present in a unique way. This sacrament is not something to be taken lightly but neither is it a time to be somber; rather, we should be filled with thankfulness and joy. Our Savior, out of His great mercy, bids His people to come to this meal. If you are a member of a church who embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are at peace with your fellow Christians, we welcome you to this table. Come and consider with us our Lord’s body and shed blood symbolized in the bread and juice. Rejoice with us in our union with Him and with each other as His Covenant people.

3 4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.

I Will Glory In My Redeemer Cook

I will glory in my Redeemer, Whose priceless blood has ransomed me,

Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails And hung Him on that judgment tree.

I will glory in my Redeemer Who crushed the power of sin and death,

My only Savior before the holy Judge, The Lamb who is my righteousness, The Lamb who is my righteousness.

I will glory in my Redeemer,

My life He bought, my love He owns, I have no longings for another,

I’m satisfied in Him alone. I will glory in my Redeemer,

His faithfulness my standing place, Though foes are mighty and rush upon me,

My feet are firm, held by His grace, My feet are firm held by His grace.

I will glory in my Redeemer,

Who carries me on eagle’s wings, He crowns my life with lovingkindness,

His triumph song I’ll ever sing. I will glory in my Redeemer,

Who waits for me at gates of gold, And when he calls me it will be paradise,

His face forever to behold, His face forever to behold.

Benediction4 from Philippians 3:8 May the Lord grant you to see where you are lacking, that you may have everything; May he grant you a vision of your poverty, that you might be rich beyond measure; May he show you that you are destitute, so that you may be filled with the fullness of his supply. Take My Life Havergal/Tomlin

Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in endless praise.

Here am I, all of me.

Take my life, it's all for Thee.

4 Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God’s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
