We have a nursery available for children 3 and under. Children 4 to 6 years of age may be dismissed to Godly Play prior to the sermon. Thank you for joining us today and may the Lord richly bless you. Song of Assembly1 Ancient Words DeShazo

Holy words long preserved for our walk in this world. They resound with God’s own heart,

O let the ancient words impart.

Words of life, words of hope, give us strength, help us cope. In this world where’er we roam,

Ancient words will guide us home.

Ancient words ever true, changing me and changing you. We have come with open hearts, O let the ancient words impart.

Holy words of our faith handed down to this age.

Came to us through sacrifice, O heed the faithful words of Christ.

Holy words long preserved for our walk in this world.

They resound with God’s own heart, O let the ancient words impart.

All: to whom be the glory forever and ever! Amen!

The LORD Cleanses Us in His Son

We Confess Our Sin Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. …Silent and Personalized Confession of Sin… Amen! Words of Assurance Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Worship with Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs Immortal, Invisible Story

Immortal, You are not like a man That You change Your mind or change Your plan.

Invisible, our human eyes can’t see The depths of Your majesty.

You’re the God of forever and ever amen! The Alpha, Omega, Beginning and End.

We sing, “Hallelujah!” We worship in awe, Immortal, invisible God.

Immortal, You are not bound by death. You’re the living God, my very breath. Invisible, You are not bound by space,

But Your glory is filling this place. Yes, Your glory is filling this place.

Immortal yet You once died for me,

To pay my debt, to set me free. Invisible, You will not always be,

’Cause You’re coming to reign as our King, And the saints will fall down at Your feet.

Take My Life Havergal/Tomlin

Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in endless praise;

Take my hands and let them move

At the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee;

Take my voice and let me sing,

Always, only for my King. Take my lips and let them be

Filled with messages from Thee;

Take my silver and my gold, Not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect and use Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

Here am I, all of me.

Take my life, it's all for Thee.

Take my will and make it Thine, It shall be no longer mine;

Take my heart, it is Thine own, It shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour At Thy feet its treasure store;

Take myself and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee.

There Is A Fountain Filled with Blood Cowper There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel’s veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains. And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day;

And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away. And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.

O dying Lamb, thy precious blood shall never lose its power, Till all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more. Till all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more.

Prayers of Thanksgiving & Petition Elder George Godwin Offering

The LORD Consecrates3 Us with His Word

Sermon4 Pastor Tommy Lee Series: “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)

LXXX. The Other Side of the Sandwich Matthew 21:15-22 We Pray A Lenten Prayer

Lord, who throughout these forty days For us did fast and pray,

Teach us with you to mourn our sins And close by you to stay.

As you with Satan did contend,

And did the vict’ry win, O give us strength in you to fight,

In you to conquer sin.

As you did hunger and did thirst, So teach us, gracious Lord, To die to self and so to live By your most Holy Word.

Abide with us, that through this life

Of suff’ring and of pain, An Easter of unending joy

We may at last attain.

The LORD Communes with Us at His Table

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper Communion, also called The Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is the family meal of Christians. We invite all committed followers of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament: those who are baptized members of a congregation that proclaims the gospel, who are at peace with God and their neighbor, and who seek strength to live in a deeper communion with Jesus. If you are not a Christian, or you are not

3 The Lord sets his people apart and sanctifies them and calls them to his grace and service through his Word.

4 4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.

prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer. We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with his people, the Church. I Need Thee Every Hour Hawks

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord No tender voice like Thine, can peace afford. I need Thee every hour, stay Thou near by,

Temptations lose their power, when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee, O I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need you Lord,

O bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain. Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need Thee every hour, teach me Thy will And Thy rich promises, in me fulfill.

I need Thee every hour, Most Holy One.

O make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.

The LORD Commissions Us with His Blessing

Benediction5 Jude 24-25 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Mighty to Save Feilding/Morgan

Shine your light and let the whole world see We’re singing for the glory of the risen King. Jesus!

Shine your light and let the whole world see We’re singing for the glory of the risen King.

Saviour, He can move the mountains;

My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save Forever, Author of salvation,

He rose and conquered the grave; Jesus conquered the grave

5 Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God’s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
