MURAL TOUR
'Hermit's Cabin'Completed by the Teen Mural Program, this depicts a rustic cabin in a peaceful Sierra Nevada meadow.
'Giant Sequoias' (2000)This enormous mural covers the entire width of the building and highlights sequoia trees since Visalia is Gateway to the Sequoias.
'Moro Rock' (2003)Iconic Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park is highlighted in this mural by the Teen Mural Program
Vietnam Veteran War Memorial (2003)By artist Rudy Vargas immortalizing the Vietnam war and honoring its veterans.
Sierra Nevada MountainsMeasuring 14 X 28 feet, it was completed under direction of Allison Kleinsteuber in 2001 by the Teen Mural Program.
'Smoke Break' (2002) Based on a photo taken in Korea in 1951; by artist Rudy Vargas.
'Coca Cola'Originally painted in 1940 as an ad but was later covered over. Discovered during a construction project. Take a selfie sipping 'the real thing.'
'Homage to Mearle's Diner'Now the Habit Grill, this was once an iconic diner that opened in 1960 by Mearle Heitzman. It was THE place for College of the Sequoias student to hang out. There are 4 murals to see.
Black Bear DinerPainted by well-known muralist Colleen Mitchell-Venya in 2013 using several photos of Yosemite do create this image.
'Greatest Generation' (2006)Commemorating WWII, it depicts 29 people across a wall 24 feet high and 71 feet wide. It was painted on Dibond tiles and affixed to wall; by Artist Glen W. Hill
