The mission of Oxford High School is to empower students with the intellectual and social skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Oxford High School is a 9-12 high school located in Oxford, Alabama. It is the only high school within the Oxford City Schools district. Oxford High School was first located in the building once housing Oxford College. Oxford College operated for thirty-two years and was the Alma Mater of many of Calhoun County's most distinguished leaders and citizens. The building was sold to the City of Oxford, and Oxford High School was established in 1909; the first class graduated in 1910.

Current Enrollment is over 1200 students.

Oxford High School began implementation of eight learning academies during the 2014-2015 school year. These academies encourage students to build a foundation in pursuit of their careers in selected fields.

THE Academy of Business Technologies- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any business fields. Pathways include finance and business information.

THE Academy of Digital Arts, Audio/Visual & Communications Technologies- This academy is designed for students planning college level course work at the two or four year college level or students entering the world of work. This academy engages students in challenging curricula that will develop technical skills in the areas of Printing Technology, Visual Arts, and Television and Broadcasting. National Standards, credentialing opportunities, and course articulation with postsecondary institutions are available in this academy. Pathways include printing technology, visual arts, and technology & broadcasting.

THE Academy of Commercial and Industrial Technologies- This academy is designed for students planning college level course work at the two-year college level or entering the world of work. Students who finish their two-year college level course work may have the opportunity to pursue four-year level course work depending on career goals and level of mastery within the college course work. Students have a broad range of pathways and options. This program is designed to provide students with hands on technical skills. Many credentialing opportunities are available to students through these programs. Pathways include auto-collision, welding, machine tool and technology, air conditioning & refrigeration, and electrical technologies.

THE Academy of Engineering Technologies- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any engineering or robotics fields. Pathways include engineering and robotics.

THE Academy of Health and Sciences- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any health related, therapeutics, emergency rescue and/or biomedical fields. Pathways include biomedical, emergency services, and general healthcare (therapeutics).

THE Academy of Fine Arts and Languages- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any of the following pathways: instrumental music, vocal music, theatre, Spanish, and French.

THE Academy of Teaching and Learning- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any childcare, daycare or teaching fields (elementary education, secondary education and/or postsecondary education). Pathways include childcare and teacher education.

THE Academy of General Studies and Athletics- This academy is designed for students pursuing college level course work at the two or four year level or entering the world of work in any field of choice. If a student is not clear or uncertain of the career or postsecondary goals, intensive career exploration is recommended. This academy has unlimited pathways and could benefit those with career exploration if their career goals are unknown.
