11/3-24 Craig Ford, ’81 Alice Hirt & Jo Bearse Endowed Art Exhibition Craig Ford, ’81, sees himself as a visual storyteller. The element of “visual storytelling” is key in the artwork he creates—big, vividly colored pieces that often include seemingly unrelated segments—yet soon becomes clear that he is not experimenting.

11/28–29 Christmas at Young Harris YHC’s Concert Band, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will get into the Christmas spirit at this beloved annual concert.

11/8–12 My Fair Lady Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner Music by Frederick Loewe

Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady tells the story of Professor Henry Higgins, a curmudgeonly bachelor who makes a bet that he can pass off unrefined Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle as a society lady by teaching her how to speak with an upper-class accent. Originally produced on Broadway in 1956, where it earned seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, My Fair Lady is Lerner and Loewe’s most popular collaboration. My Fair Lady is appropriate for all ages and includes some of Broadway’s best-loved musical numbers, including “I Could Have Danced all Night,” “Get Me to the Church on Time,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “The Street Where you Live.”

1/19–2/23Chris Coleman Chris Coleman has traveled the world playing music. During his musical travels, he began sharing his adventures through the lens of a camera, often sharing with his fans. Coleman still yearned for more forms of artistic expression and began painting simple images that reflected his love of history and the Old West. His choice of medium is paper with black paint, brush and finger. Coleman creates powerful images that evoke strong emotions and a longing for what was or might have been.

FEBRUARY2/22–25EverymanThis beautiful Medieval morality play examines the question of Christian salvation: What is it and what must Everyman do to obtain it? Originally performed in 1510, the Theatre Young Harris production of Everyman injects the play with a modern, steampunk sensibility that breathes new life into this ancient masterpiece.

2/27–26No Exit By Jean-Paul Sartre

Written by Jean-Paul Sartre, winner of the 1964 Noble Prize for Literature, No Exit is the story of three souls locked together for eternity in one hideous room in hell. The windows are bricked, there are no mirrors, the electric lights can never be turned off, and there is no exit.
