10:30 inSide pitchThe Creative Journey: Introduction with David Ludwig

Why do some artists’ works grow increasingly complex near the ends of their lives, while others gravitate to spare simplicity? David Ludwig will offer a presentation looking at how musical language changed for some of the great composers from their earliest music to their final works, including Beethoven, Brahms, Schoenberg, Bartok, Copland, and Stravinsky.
