From the moment your luggage is taken from you and you walk along the track through a small meadow to Villa Lale you realise you are somewhere special. Set amongst orchards the this villa offers the perfect getaway location.

Close to the heart of the hamlet and mosque you are nonetheless in a com-pletely private and tranquil location. It has been designed and built by the same team that built our Turkish retreat, Villa Nurtan, sourcing craftsmen from the vil-lage. Using local labour and materials we have aimed to create a villa that is sympa-thetic to its surroundings. This extends to our furniture, which is mostly hand-made in the village.

Villa Lale is located in Keçibükü, Orhani-ye, an idyllic valley location surrounded by olive trees and hills. It is only 25 km away from bustling Marmaris, yet offers a peaceful retreat for discerning families looking for a private and very special place to unwind, well away from ‘developments’.

Spacious en-suite master bedroom with king size bed and large private balcony overlooking the garden.

Large room with Turkish handmade rugs on tiled floors, large ottoman sofas, satellite TV, DVD, CD player, iPod dock, an extensive library and games.

Features handmade units made by the local carpenter. It includes a gas cooker, electric grill/oven, extraction fan, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and portable grill. There is a filter sys-tem to provide high quality drinking water.

Spacious bedroom 2 with twin bed and bed-room 3 with single bed. Cot also available.

Master bedroom has en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower. Family bathroom has shower. Downstairs toilet.

There are two large verandas, one upstairs and one downstairs. A third is set by the pool. There is also a wooden swinging chair in the garden.

Villa Lale Pool and Garden

Villa Lale guests enjoy the luxu-ries of a private pool whilst be-ing part of a rural Turkish ham-

let. In the garden is a stone BBQ for outside meals and around the side of the villa is a swinging chair that is great for a quiet read. Our guests like being part of the com-munity. There are the sounds of vil-lage life. If you are used to the rumble of cars and street life, you will instead get used to the call to prayer just be-fore dawn and at intervals through the day from the village mosque. At night time you may hear cockerels, dogs, the snuffle of a wild boar, the occasion-

al gun shot as the men hunt at night or the music of a wedding celebra-tion. At other times there is utter qui-et – except for the sounds of frogs in the spring whilst the streams are run-ning and the cicadas in high summer. You can watch the natural world at your leisure – the bats and stars at night, birds swooping to drink at the pool, dragonflies over the wa-ter or the birds of prey overhead. Enjoy swimming in the pool at night with the pool lights on, enchanted by the magnificent night time sky.

We have invested in the latest 100% ecological cleaning system in the private pool plus installing a water softening system which means that we use NO chemicals in this pool. Our guests love this pool as they do not smell of chlo-rine and it does not pollute the en-vironment.

Eco-friendly pool

We believe in low impact tourism. The Bozburun Peninsula is a pro-tected nature area so we go to great lengths to minimise our im-pact on the environment. We have drilled two wells and installed auto-matic drip watering systems in the gardens to minimise the amount of water we take from the village.

Villa Lale is set in an orchard. Its garden is full of mature orange trees, locally grown shrubs and banana trees.

Villa Lale is set amongst Orange groves so you will find many Orange trees in the gar-den.

The garden is full of mature plants and bushes caredully tendered by our team.

There is a traditional wooden Turkish veran-da set by the pool. This is ideal for supervis-ing children in the pool.

Enjoy alfresco dining with delicious meals prepared on the large stone BBQ.

Welcome to Unspoilt Turkey

What is it like to stay in a Turk-ish village? You will notice that everyone is friend-

ly and will greet you with ‘Merha-ba’ (Hello). The Kecibuku hamlet has a population of around 350, so you can be sure that everyone will know who you are or will work out where you are staying very quickly. As a stranger you are a guest in the community, so you may be given a gesture of welcome – perhaps an or-ange or a fig from a tree as you walk by.

Villa Lale nestles in the midst of orange groves. Close to the heart of the ham-let access is via a track away from any road. Yet you will hear and see village life – the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, women (usually ) working in the nearby fields, chickens, cows and goats in the surrounding orchards. This is a place for those who want to experience rural village life, without sacrificing luxury.

Villa Lale is within a twenty minute stroll of the local restaurants, many have private beach access to the bay. Call them from the villa phone for free lifts both ways.

Getting to the Bozburun Peninsula

Local Destinations

Orhaniye is located on the Bozburun peninsula which is protected by government laws against the excesses of mass tourism. It is at the point

where the Mediterranean sea meets the Aegean sea so it has a wonderful climate all year around, similar to that found in California, with hot summers and mild winters. Within a few kilometres you get up in the hills to the pretty village of Bayir with its stunning views or travel down the peninsula to Bozburun which lives off boat building and yacht servicing. Orhaniye may only be 25 Km from Mar-maris but it could be easily be the other side of the world. Villa Lale is 1 hour 40 minutes drive away from Dalaman Airport (DLM) which is the closest airport to enter Turkey. Now there are many charter flights all the year round from most UK and European airports to Dalaman. 4 hour flight.

We can arrange private trans-fers from Dalaman airport using a transfer company based in the village. Transfers take about one hour and 40 mins. Bodrum airport is also possible and takes 30 min more.

Airport Transfers

We can arrange private car hire for you with the same local com-pany. They can provide rental cars picked up at the airport or deliver a rental car to the villa for use when you arrive. They also provide cars by the day, delivered to the villa.

Private boat trips are very popular with our guests as they can go to quiet bays and swim in the crys-tal-clear waters. We can arrange these trips on request.

Orhaniye bay has many local restaurants serving a range of quality food.

The Bozburun Peninsula is classed as a na-ture area by the Turkish Government so pre-tected against over development. No high rise development is permitted.

Kızkumu in Orhaniye bay is so beautiful that the Government has applied to have the area classed as a World Heritage Site.

Orhaniye is completely unspoilt and full of friendly villagers who will welcome you to Villa Lale.

There are many restaurants with beach ac-cess to the local bay. For snorkelling there are several small bays within a short dis-tance by car from the villa.

When you eat in the local restaurants you can enjoy fresh fish and local produce di-rectly from the restaurant’s garden. Villa Lale guests enjoy free lifts.
