Admissions Issues
• Students apply to SFU through PASBC; see College website for detailed information: http://www.douglas.bc.ca/ways-to-study/degree-partnership-program.html
• Applications processed by SFU• fee to SFU
• SFU Admission standards apply

Transcripts/Records
• Students will have to agree to information exchange upon entering the program
• Information will flow back and forth between institutions each semester to update transcripts
• No action is required on the part of students
• A cumulative GPA will be calculated “behind students’ transcripts” for joint scholarships and academic standing
Financial Aid Issues• Importance of “home institution”
– Students are eligible for Financial aid opportunities at the institution where they are taking the most credits each term or, in the case of athletic scholarships, where they are playing
• The home institution is responsible for:
– processing applications and monitoring compliance
• Joint awards will be established for the program
Student Services
• Student activity fees “follow the tuition.”
• Students attending both institutions will pay two sets of fees. Note fees are prorated according to number of credits.
• Student society fees “follow the tuition”
• Students may opt out of medical/dental
Academic Issues• Academic standards compatible
• Academic policies (e.g. grade appeals, academic dishonesty) “follow the tuition”
• SFU degree requirements (e.g., WQB) apply
• Academic advising at SFU by designated advisor
• Student performance Information exchanged and “pooled” (e.g., instances of academic discipline)
