Double lumen occlusion balloons ECLIPSE 2L & COPERNIC 2L present two major patented innovations:

The new Flat Catheter Concept (FCC) patented by BALT dedicatesa wide lumen to both the inflation tube and the infusion catheter,without increasing the global outer width of the catheter. This concept offers several advantages:

The wide inflation tube allows a much better control of the inflation/deflation.The ECLIPSE 2L/COPERNIC 2L balloons deflate 5 times faster than competitors' balloonson a coaxial catheter.

The Flat Catheter Concept is designed to enable the use in parallel of the balloon catheter and a coiling microcatheter in a single 6F guiding catheter (FARGOMAX 6F, I.D .070" - 1,78mm), keeping a wide working lumen available,

compatible with a wide range of LEO stents and SILK flow diverters:The « 2L » range of BALT offers two kinds of working lumen:ECLIPSE 2L : lumen 0,42mm – 0.017" ( same as Vasco+10)COPERNIC 2L : lumen 0,60mm – 0.023" (same as Vasco+21)

The new “easy Valve” design is particularly helpful for purging the air out of the balloon and prevents any risk of blood aspirationwhile deflating the device. (No need to seal the purge hole with hot air,no risk of damaging the balloon)

DOUBLE LUMEN OCCLUSION BALLOONS

For better stability and navigation, ECLIPSE 2L has a 7mm-longtip distal to the balloon. COPERNIC 2L has a 15mm-long distal tip. Both types are also available with a short distal tip (SN: “Short Nose”versions) which are useful for liquid embolic injection or coils delivery,and also compatible with all coil detachment systems. For this lastindication, an additional marker is positioned 3cm proximal to thecatheter’s tip.

Both ECLIPSE 2L and COPERNIC 2L can be used in parallelwith a coiling microcatheter (for example VASCO+10)in a single 6F guiding catheter (I.D. 1,78mm/ .070”, FARGOMAX 6F)

Both ECLIPSE 2L and COPERNIC 2L are DMSO compatible as well as resistant tohigh pressures and therefore compatible with SQUID® (Emboflu A.G, Switzerland)liquid embolic injection. Thanks to their balloon, the reflux can be perfectly controlled.We recommend the use of ECL2L 6x7 SN for SQUID® injection.
