Double Degree
in International Business
HOW TO APPLY?Double Degree studies are always based on a specific
DD agreement between SeAMK and its partner
university/university of applied sciences
Contact the International Office at your home
institution and get a permission to apply for the Double
Degree studies at SeAMK. The home institution of each
student will nominate their double degree candidates to
SeAMK.
Complete your application:1. Double Degree student application form2. Learning Agreement (LA) for Studies3. Attach your Transcript of Records (in English).
Return your application before:
• 15 May for autumn semester/the whole academic year
• 15 November for spring semester

International Double Degree (DD) is a growing trend in higher level
education. By taking two bachelor degrees in two different countries
you can strengthen your competitive advantage in your future career.
Interested in an international career?
Study to earn an international Double Degree.
CONTENT OF THE DD STUDIES:• Studies abroad, approx. 60 ECTS
• Practical training conducted internationally
• Bachelor thesis written in English
• Maturity test written in English
The Double Degree programme requires a student to
study one academic year at the Double Degree partner
university of applied sciences.
The courses to be completed are defined in a personal
study plan (learning agreement). Also the practical
training of five months shall be done internationally. The
Bachelor thesis has to be written in English under the
supervision of the academic staff from both partner
institutions.
After successful completion of the required studies, the
student will receive a Bachelor’s degree from both
partner institutions.
Two degree certificates show the future employers that
the graduate has gone through a truly international
education and thus has acquired both professional
expertise and intercultural competence – the two key
qualifications of future employees working in the
globalised world.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS• You are a registered business student in a Double Degree partner
university of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
• You are willing to spend at least one year of your studies abroad.
• Your Double Degree study plan is approved by your institution.

We are living in the age of digitalization. Digitalization is advancing rapidly.New technologies will be changing the ways of doing and thinking now and in the coming years.
We are happy to invite colleagues from the partner universities to join the International Week taking place on September 14 - 18, 2020 in Seinäjoki, Finland, to teach about and discuss
the new challenges and opportunities in technology.
The International Week is aimed at teachers and staff members in the fields of:
• Automation Engineering: e.g. Digital Factory: such as Robotics, Simulation, AR/VR• Mechanical and Automotive Engineering: e.g. Sustainable Mobility• Construction Engineering and Construction Site Management: e.g. Circular Economy in
Construction, Digitalization at Construction Sites, BIM• Languages, Intercultural Communication, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
The International Project Week includes opportunities for:• University presentations• Teaching• R&D innovation workshops from the viewpoint of Industrial Digitalization• Campus tour/Laboratory visits• Company visit• Seinäjoki City tour and Social program• Networking with International colleagues.

Practical Information:
Costs:The programme is free of charge for the representatives of the partner universities of SeAMK, including lunches and social programme mentioned in the programme. The participants take care of their own accommodation and travelling costs. Erasmus+ grants are recommended.
Travelling to Seinäjoki:We recommend that you fly to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The best way to get from Helsinki to Seinäjoki is by train. You can book the train tickets at https://www.vr.fi/cs/vr/en/frontpage
About the trains: first you hop on a local train P at the Helsinki airport and then get off at Tikkurila train station. From Tikkurila, you continue on a long distance train directly to Seinäjoki. All the announcements on trains are also in English. The travel time is about 2.5 to 3 hours.
