Pulse Transfer Thickening: the ODS® PumpThis air-operated diaphragm pump is superior tocentrifugal and helical screw pumps for heavy-duty applications and better than mechanicallyor hydraulically operated pumps due to its sim-plicity of control and evenly distributed powertransmission.

Principal BenefitsDesigned and built for long-term, year-in-yearout, heavy-duty performance, the ODS Pump de-livers more process efficiency requiring minimalmaintenance. It lasts longer and pumps slurriesno other pump can handle.

• The ODS Pump can be automated to matchcapacity to process requirements for maximumprocess efficiency

• It’s unique construction allows the pump to beoperated dry, indefinitely. It cannot air bind, hasno stator to burn out

• There are no seals, so contamination of pro-cess slurry or the environment from seal leaksis not possible.

• Pump capacity and discharge pressure can beadjusted during operation for maximum flexibility

• Rhythmic plunger-type action minimizes particledegradation of even the most delicate materials

ApplicationsThe ODS pump can handle tough corrosives, abrasives and highly concentrated or unusuallyviscous slurries, extremely volatile slurries anddelicate and unstable slurries. Temperature rangeis up to 200°F and solids content of slurries can beup to 75%. Flow ranges from 0.5 gpm to 180 gpm.

User experience shows the ODS Pump can beused in a variety of applications including chemicalprocessing, wastewater treatment general manu-

facturing, minerals processing and food process-ing. Combined with ODS Pump automatic controls, operators can automatically or remotely adjust air, stroke rate, and pump sequencing, and monitormoisture amounts.

Choose from several check valves and compo-nents to suit your particular application. The ODSPump is available in three basic models andfive sizes.

When equipped with the patented spring assist, the pump is

self-priming and has suction lift up to 10 feet. Capacity in-

creases by 50% due to faster filling action, and easily handles

slurries with high solids concentration and viscosity.

Disintegrate, Macerate, Shred and PumpThe Gorator® Pump sizes, reduces, disperses, separates, delumps, grinds, chops, maceratesand even pumps. Working on a simple inclinedrotor principle, the Gorator pump is self-cleaning,non-clog, and operates trouble-free under themost difficult conditions.

An impeller, taking the form of aflat plate, is mounted at an obliqueangle on the end of the pumpshaft. Rotation of the impellerproduces a centrifugal actionwhich pumps the material anddischarges it radially throughthe outlet. Notched teeth are lo-cated in peripheral stator bars to chop thematerial during passage through the pump.

Principal BenefitsThe Gorator pump accomplishes three distinctfunctions in one unit, saving on equipment costs.Higher shear performance gives more intensedispersion than with conventional machines. Thecasing is made to open quickly so that it is easy

to inspect, clean and to remove tramp materials. The Gorator Pump is constructed for heavy-dutyapplications providing for a long service life.

ApplicationsThe Gorator Pump can be adapted to meet a widevariety of needs in an ever-increasing number of in-

dustries. It is easily fitted to meetindividual reducing needs by spac-

ing the liner bars to exactly the posi-tion required for various size particu-

lates.

Wood chips, synthetic fibers, rags, rugs, plastics, raw sludges, slurries,

slaughter-house residue, high-vis-cosity materials, chemical residue, in-

dustrial waste and debris are but a fewof the materials being successfully handled

by the Gorator.

Applications serving the wastewater industry formore than thirty years has proven this ruggedmachine. Material is reduced to a slurry so thatmaterial handling of solids, and process equipmentclogging, is eliminated.

Positive Displacement PumpsDorrco™ positive displacement double diaphragmpumps are constructed of extra heavy-duty mate-rials for tough, long-lasting service in extremeenvironments. These pumps can be installed atliquid level in thickener applications to preventflooding or start-up problems. The pump operateswith a smooth action, which prevents agitation andkeeps the slurry from degrading during transport.Dorrco pumps come in two series: Type W and VM.

Principal BenefitsThe Dorrco pump enjoys many advantages overcentrifugal pumps used in heavy-duty service. Be-cause drive motion is at right angles to the dia-phragm, you can expect the diaphragm to have agreater life. Anti-friction ball bearings also providefor a smooth pumping action which reduces fric-tion and wear on moving parts. The Dorrco pumputilizes standard horizontal electric motors forlower power consumption. A stroke adjustmenthandwheel allows for easy adjustment of strokelength to vary discharge rate while the pump isoperating. All components of the pump are aboveground and easily accessed for maintenance.

ApplicationsDorrco Pumps have been used successfully inmetallurgical processes for over sixty years. Thepump can be used with thickener and clarifier
