The players are users who participates in events held by the hosts. Like the host, any user registered to the DGS platform can become a player, but participating in events requires deposits. Watchers are users who are not participating in an event but is tracking the progress of the event. The DGS platform provides watchers the opportunity to watch live streaming of game screens from the players, bet on players, or support players by donating their tokens to their favorite players.

The game providers play a key role in the DGS ecosystem since DGS cannot exist without games for players to compete on. Difference between online casinos and DGS

With the growing population of smartphone users around the world, enabling device owners to access any online service anytime and anywhere, the online casino market exceeded the traditional casinos in size. Despite it’s popularity, playing with traditional casinos are nowhere close to a fair game since the casino operators has control over all the rules and the users has no choice but to follow those rules.One good example is the sports bet. Bookmakers set the odds under their sole discretion and users bet according to their odds. That

is because when someone loses on an online casino, basically, all the users’ loss goes to the casino, meaning that the game is played between the users and the casino operators.For example, 9 users place 10 tokens each on Player A, while two users places 3 and 7 tokens on Player B. If Player B wins, the

casino gets to take 90 while the giving back the 10 tokens to the 2 people who placed their bet on Player B with a bonus for their win.

DGS on the other hand is different. Total bet for that event is first distributed between the system, the game provider, and the event holder, and the remaining tokens are then distributed among the winners according to the following formula.

The DGS is designed to be a decentralized app allowing anyone in the network to have the same accessibility. This is made possible by the rising technology of blockchains. Blockchain works like a database without a host. All participants in the network keeps a copy of the records and updates them so a single entity cannot tamper with the records. This characteristic of blockchain is the key to bringing equality and fairness to online betting because the advantage of the house is in the accessibility to the information.
