Hands-on impressionsDoors and closures not only dominate a considerable part of each car body’s exterior design, they also are largely responsible for the physical experience a car provides to its users while not actually driving. When it comes to the car body, it is the doors and closures that are handled, literally, leaving an impor-tant visual, acoustic and haptic impression – and also integrating numerous further functions in their extremely confi ned space. With this in mind, you, the engineers in automobile door or closure product and process development, have to realize lightweight potentials, to optimise crash-relevant load paths, to cleverly integrate a growing number of functionalities, as well as to command an increasing number of derivatives, by means of fl exible and effi cient produc-tion processes.
To document and to benchmark recent progress in the construction and manu-facturing of such series hang-on parts is the aim of the Automotive Circle Inter-national conference on „Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering“, which we have set up for you in Bad Nauheim, Germany, on 13 and 14 November 2013. \\ CONFERENCE LANGUAGEThe conference will be translated simultane-ously into English and German. Please note that the contents of lectures and presenta-tions at simultaneously interpreted confer-ences are predominately composed in the English language.
\\ CANCELLATIONSFees will be refunded in full if notice of cancel-lation is received by 15 October 2013. 50 % of the conference fees will be refunded in case notifi cation of cancellation is received later, but not later than 29 October 2013. Delegates who fail to attend without notifying the organ-iser will be liable for the whole conference
fees. Substitutions of delegates may be made at any time. Cancellations and changes should be notifi ed in writing. In all cases date of post-mark shall apply. Any fees to be refunded will be paid after the end of the conference. The organiser reserves the right to change the pro-gramme content or to cancel the event due to important reasons. Cancellation fees of third parties that may appear in this context will not be reimbursed.
