Hands-on impressionsDoors and closures not only dominate a considerable part of each car body’s exterior design, they also are largely responsible for the physical experience a car provides to its users while not actually driving. When it comes to the car body, it is the doors and closures that are handled, literally, leaving an impor-tant visual, acoustic and haptic impression – and also integrating numerous further functions in their extremely confi ned space. With this in mind, you, the engineers in automobile door or closure product and process development, have to realize lightweight potentials, to optimise crash-relevant load paths, to cleverly integrate a growing number of functionalities, as well as to command an increasing number of derivatives, by means of fl exible and effi cient produc-tion processes.

To document and to benchmark recent progress in the construction and manu-facturing of such series hang-on parts is the aim of the Automotive Circle Inter-national conference on „Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering“, which we have set up for you in Bad Nauheim, Germany, on 13 and 14 November 2013. Be part of our internationally leading network of expert automotive engineers, see and inspect newest door and closure developments pertaining to series models recently launched by leading OEM, learn about most recent develop-ment project results from trailblazing system suppliers and research institu-tions and discuss current trends in hang-on part development with interna-tional experts.

Do not miss this opportunity – we are looking forward to meeting you in Bad Nauheim!

The conference addressesautomotive engineers with responsibilities in the pre-development, development, planning and production of car body hang-on parts, from international OEM as well as their system suppliers and engineering service providers.

Domenico Borrelli, Fiat Group Auto-mobiles S.p.A., IT

ADJACENT EXHIBITION

At the adjacent exhibition international suppliers provide you with new prod-ucts and solutions all around “Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering” – therefore the exhibition is the perfect addition to the conference programme and rounds off your participation.

FOCUS WORKSHOPS

YOUR ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Four Focus Workshops, addressing special topics within the fi eld of hang-on part engineering and moderated by renowned experts, constitute a particular highlight of the conference. As a conference participant you have the opportu-nity to take part in the workshop of your choice and to follow and shape the discussions held there. As a positive side-effect, the workshops allow to make immediate contact with conference delegates sharing your specifi c interest, maximizing your networking possibilities.

LIVE POLLS ON-SITE

Live polls will be held via an automated vote system among the auditorium on some key questions, taking the opportunity to gain some insight into the considerations of the conference audience, which, as an assembly of interna-tional doors and closures engineers, represents a unique body of expertise. The results will be displayed immediately in the conference plenum and also be documented for all the conference participants. Delegates will also have the possibility to address the conference plenum with their own questions via this system.

NETWORKING NIGHT

The Automotive Circle International invites all conference delegates, board members, speakers and exhibitors to an informal reception followed by dinner. Meet and network with your business partners, clients and colleagues in a re-laxed atmosphere whilst enjoying good food, drinks and music.
