Many thanks to everyone who helped it get out safely. Donyatt Social Club On Monday 15th May, we held our Skittles Final and Presentation Evening. Firstly, we donated a cheque for £1,100 to South Somerset MIND. Representative Dr Alexander Priest from the Yeovil branch received the cheque on behalf of the charity. The skittles final was then played out between one of our new teams, Upper, captained by George Busby, and Park, captained by John Grabham. After a closely fought game, swinging from one side to the other, Park eventually pulled through to win by 23 pins. League Results: 1st Overall *Shield Winners* - Park 2nd Overall - Upper 3rd Overall - Peasmarsh (our other new team) Wooden Spoon - Sea Follies Highest Individual Score - John Grabham - 66 pins Highest Team Score Average - Lower - 45.8 pins Special thanks to Joe and the team at Donyatt Bowling Club for hosting us. DONYATT PARISH COUNCIL NEWS Councillor Lynn Mortimer has been re-elected as Chairman and Councillor Bill Porritt was elected as Vice Chairman. At long last the Council has received A358 Road Safety Feasibility Report regarding the options on the A358 through Donyatt. The Council will be discussing this at an extra meeting on 6 th June. At this meeting, the Council will also be discussing the potential for a Housing Needs Survey for Donyatt. As with our other meetings, residents are welcome to attend and ask questions.
