Began with a NY State Task Force• NY Senator Sue Serino,  current Committee Chair• NY State Task Force on Lyme and Tick‐Borne Disease

In 2017, NY allocated funds for Lyme research and prevention• NYSIPM received funds through NYS DOH and NYSED• In early 2017 we had proposed to:

• Conduct surveillance in SE NY where none was happening, send ticksfor disease testing

• Educate New Yorkers with a social media campaign that included lotsof visuals.

• Tick ID cards, posters, infographics• Tick removal kits• Tick education kits to be created and distributed to all NY CCE officesand BOCES organizations.

• Educate, educate, educate through presentations.

DGTNY Campaign Outcomes• Worked with a great design firm to create branded materialswith cartoon visuals and accurate drawings.
