Tips for Health & Wellness

Improve Vision and Hearing..

Seeing and hearing well are necessary to safely getting

around in the world. For that reason, always keep your

eyeglasses clean and properly adjusted and if you notice that your hearing is not what it use

to be, schedule an appointment with your health

care provider to have your ears checked for ear wax build

-up.

Improve Mobility During the day, older adults should avoid sitting for long

periods of time and they should stand and walk

whenever possible. When sitting, try to concentrate on wiggling your toes, clenching

and unclenching your fists, and rotating your ankles in circles.

This will help improve circulation, strength, balance,

and stamina. Keep Hydrated

Dehydration is one of the most common health problems in seniors because we lose our ability to distinguish when we’re thirsty as we age. It is important to drink up to 8 cups of water daily. To help you reach your goal, try drinking a half-cup of water every half hour for the first eight hours of the day.
