HYSTERICALLY INSPIRING

Donald Trump has made many hysterical and scary things through the years, and it seems that

we will see more of it, during his time as president. People have already made much fun of

him through parodies, and I must say this is one of the best so far. Because he only shows his

self-centered and cocky side in the media, so it is very difficult to say whether parodies do a

good representation of his true character or not. This is his own fault, then he has had several

opportunities to show the world her true self. So thanks to this I base Johnny Depp’s

performance to Trump's public life, and I must say that Depp put his character very well. Big

ego, quick little clever joke and everybody kisses his butt, mostly.

Alec Baldwin's version of Donald Trump on SNL will always be my favorite, and I'd

probably rather wanted to see him in this film instead. But I understand that Donald Trump in

this film is much younger than Balwins version, then this film is set during the late 80's.

Anyway, all actors did a superb job. No one was award winning good, but it was most likely

because it is meant to be an extended skit. You see it on the entire production, when

everything feels very simplified, from the dialogue to the camera angles. But that's the charm

of the whole skit format, then you do not take what is said as seriously, and it will be

maintained in a completely different way. And now when you know the real Trump, or at

least the character he tries to be in the media, so it feels like a film that he would do. He

would certainly keep some scenes, ie those that really pumps up his ego.

One can speculate how much you want to force the message, or if they did a fair caricature of

Donald Trump. But this is nothing more than a simple and easy film that gets a chuckle at

times. I think I'd rather see this as a series of videos, or that they had a budget increase. Had

they been able to put more time and money into the project, the film probably had worked

more. But anyway, it is still a clever script, a group of perfectly okay actors and a large

middle finger at President Donald Trump. Which I think was their only goal from the

beginning.

I recommend it bigly. It’s tremendous.
