Mount drives and media from the user’s desktop to servers in the data center during a KVM connection

Virtual Media – How does it work?Virtual Media – How does it work?
During a KVM connection, user requests a virtual media connection to a CD drive
The KX II creates a “virtual connection” between the CD drive to a “virtual drive” on the target server
The “virtual drive” is mounted on the target server through the server’s USB port
The CD drive appears on the target server as a USB connected drive
The user can use the “virtual drive” from the server’s OS
