• Accounted for 21% of all violent victimization

• Declined 67% from 1994 to 2013

• A larger percentage of females were victims than males

• Most domestic violence against females was committed by the victim’s current or former boyfriend or girlfriend or spouse

• More than half of all domestic violence was reported to police
