NOTICE OF A NEW TRANSNET ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROCESS ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION PROCESS FOR THE PROPOSED UPGRADE AND NEW CONSTRUCTION RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SWAZILAND RAIL LINK PROJECT, FROM DAVEL TO NERSTON (MPUMALANGA) AND GOLELA TO NSEZI (KWAZULU-NATAL) ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION PROCESS Notice is hereby given in terms of Regulation 54 of the Environmental Impact Regulations published in Government Notice R543 in Government Gazette No. 33306 of 18 June 2010, under Section 24(5) of the National Environmental Management Act No. 107 of 1998, as amended, that Transnet SOC Limited (Transnet) proposes the following; The upgrade and new construction of the Swaziland Railway Link project and associated infrastructure from Davel to Nerston (Mpumalanga) (Reference no 14/12/16/3/3/2/553) and from Golela to Nsezi (KwaZulu-Natal) (Reference no 14/12/16/3/3/2/552) and the Davel Railway Yard (Reference no 14/12/16/3/3/2/551). A reduction in the value of residential properties for rating purposes will apply at R60,000. The municipality will in terms of the Property Rates Policy consider rebates on certain
