1 Peter 4: 7-11

Gods people

What is the emphasis?

• Fear/insecurity• Lack of experience or training• Not your responsibility (sandbox)• Being told you couldn’t• And... Maybe you just don’t want to

“Reasons why we say...I could never

do that”

1 Peter 4

7 The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. 8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4

9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

1 Peter 4

9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

All God’s Blessings, direction

Acts 2:17

In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.

- Peters 1st sermon

Acts 10:45

•  All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

- All believers receive the gift- It is to be neither weird nor snooty- It is a blessing NOT a restriction

There is a special gift for each one

1 Peter 4

9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

- Whether you want to or not you are- Its whether you are a good or bad one- You’ve gone from owner to manager

You are a steward

1 Peter 4:11

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God;

whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God

supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever

and ever. Amen.

- Whether you want to or not you are- Its whether you are a good or bad one- You’ve gone from owner to manager- Do your best – only you & God know.

You are a steward

•Rethink what your faith is all about•Thank God for the gift of salvation•Realign your life as a manager not owner•Thank God for your spiritual gift•Look everywhere to see how God wants to use you•Always be ready to receive and redistribute•Remember to always pray and be thankful
