CIECH Soda Deutschland manufactures:• dense soda - used primarily in the production of granular detergents; • light soda - used primarily in the production of glass; • baking soda (including for the pharmaceutical sector); while its subsidiary generates heat energy and electric energy.

CIECH acquired Sodawerk Stassfurt in 2007. Until now, CIECH has investedin Germany more than 100 milion EUR, e.g in rising production capacity to 600 tonnes/year from 420 tonnes/year before.

CIECH Soda Deutschland (formerly Sodawerk Stassfurt) is one of the oldestcompanies in Saxony-Anhalt. The company was founded in 1882.
