TOWN OF GLEN RIDGE TOWN CLERK Position is part time 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible. Hourly rate is negotiable plus bonus. Work is performed under the general direction of the Mayor and is subject to review for adherence to established policies, procedures and results obtained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers, screens, directs or refers incoming calls, mail and visitors. Responds to requests for information from the public, staff, other municipalities and governmental offices. Preparation of Town Council agendas Attends Town Council meetings; record meetings and prepare minutes for meetings attended. Makes necessary arrangements for municipal caucus/elections. Executes and affix seal to applicable Town documents Performs general office duties such as transcribing audio, typing and proofreading correspondence, distributing and filing official forms. Operates a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, copier/scanner. Performs Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and Payroll. Assists in developing and implementing the budget, Performs related duties as required and as directed. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge in Quickbooks Knowledge in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook). Working knowledge in Palm Beach County Ethics Law. Working knowledge in business English, spelling, and arithmetic. Ability to work on activities involving a continual reoccurrence of deadlines where work product accuracy is critical. Governmental experience is preferred. Able to read, write and speak English.
