    1. Touchscreen Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)Access menus and options by pressing them on this Touchscreen.

    Press to go back to the previous menu.

    Press to cancel an operation (available when illuminated in red).

    Dial Pad (Numerical buttons)Press the numbers on the Touchpanel to dial telephone or fax numbers and to enter thenumber of copies.

    3. Power On/Off

    • Turn on the machine by pressing .

    • Turn off the machine by pressing and holding down . The Touchscreen LCD displaysShutting Down and stays on for a few seconds before turning off. If you have anexternal telephone or TAD connected, it is always available.

    When the WiFi light is on, your Fuji Xerox machine is connected to a wireless access point.When the WiFi light blinks, the wireless connection is down, or your machine is in the processof connecting to a wireless access point.

  • Touchscreen LCDOverviewAccess the mode button you want by pressingd or c.

    From the Home screens, you can access Wi-Fi setup, Shortcuts, Toner level and Settingsscreens.

    This screen displays the machine’s statuswhen the machine is idle. This Home screenis also called the Ready Mode screen. Whendisplayed, this indicates that your machine isReady for the next command.

    The available features will vary depending onyour model.

    1. Date & TimeDisplays the date and time set on themachine.

    2. Modes

    • Fax

    Press to access Fax mode.

    • Copy

    Press to access Copy mode.

    • Scan

    Press to access Scan mode.

    • Web

    Press to connect the Fuji Xeroxmachine to an Internet service.

    • Apps

    Press to connect the Fuji Xeroxmachine to the Fuji Xerox Apps service.

    • Secure Print

    Press to access the Secure Printoption.

    • 2in1(ID) Copy

    Press to access 2in1(ID) Copy option.

    3. Wireless Status

    If you are using a wireless connection, afour-level indicator in each of the Homescreens displays the current wirelesssignal strength.

    • If you see at the top on thescreen, press it to configure wirelesssettings.

    4. Settings

    Press to access the Settings menu.If Secure Function Lock or Setting Lockhas been turned on, a lock iconappears on the LCD. You must unlock themachine to use Settings.

    5. Toner

    Displays the remaining toner life. Press toaccess the Toner menu.When the Toner cartridge is near the endof life or has a problem, an error icon appears on the Toner icon.

    Press to create Shortcuts for frequently-used operations such as sending a fax,making a copy, scanning and using WebConnect.

    • Three Shortcuts screens are availablewith up to four Shortcuts on eachShortcuts screen. A total of 12Shortcuts are available.

    • To display the other Shortcuts screens,press d or c.

    Stored Fax(es)

    The number of received faxes in memoryappears at the top of the screen.

    Press to print the faxes.

    Warning icon

    The warning icon appears when thereis an error or maintenance message; press

    to view it, and then press toreturn to Ready Mode.

    • This product adopts the font of ARPHICTECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.

    NOTE

    How to Navigate theTouchscreen LCDPress your finger on the LCD to operate it. Todisplay and access all the options, press d cor a b on the LCD to scroll through them.

    The following steps explain how to navigatethrough changing a machine setting. In thisexample, the LCD Backlight setting ischanged from Light to Med.

    IMPORTANTDO NOT press the LCD with a sharp objectsuch as a pen or stylus. It may damage themachine.

    DO NOT touch the LCD immediately afterplugging in the power cord or turning on themachine. Doing this may cause an error.

    NOTE

    1 Do one of the following:• (Windows Vista®, Windows® 7,

    Windows Server® 2003, WindowsServer® 2008 and Windows Server®2008 R2)

    Click Start > All Programs >Fuji Xerox > Fuji Xerox Utilities.

    • (Windows® 8 and Windows Server®2012)

    Tap or Click (Fuji XeroxUtilities) either on the Start screenor the desktop.

    • (Windows® 8.1 and WindowsServer® 2012 R2)

    Move your mouse to the lower leftcorner of the Start screen and click

    (if you are using a touch-baseddevice, swipe up from the bottom ofthe Start screen to bring up the Appsscreen). When the Apps screenappears, tap or click (Fuji XeroxUtilities).

    2 Select your machine.

    3 Choose the operation you want to use.

  • Initial SetupSet the Date and Time

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > Initial Setup > Date& Time > Date.

    2 Enter the last two digits of the yearusing the LCD, and then press OK.

    3 Enter the two digits for the month usingthe LCD, and then press OK.

    4 Enter the two digits for the day using theLCD, and then press OK.

    5 Press Time.

    6 Enter the time (in 24-hour format) usingthe LCD, and then pressOK.(For example: enter 19:45 for 7:45 PM.)

    7 Press .Adjust the Ring Volume

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > General Setup >Volume > Ring.

    2 Press a or b to display the Off, Low,Med, or High option, and then press theoption you want.

    3 Press .Adjust the Beeper Volume

    When the beeper is on, the machine will beepwhen you press a button, make a mistake, or

    after you send or receive a fax. You canchoose from a range of volume levels.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > General Setup >Volume > Beep.

    2 Press a or b to display the Off, Low,Med, or High option, and then press theoption you want.

  • Load PaperLoad and Print using thePaper Tray

    • If the Check Size setting is set to On andyou pull the paper tray out of themachine, a message appears on theLCD asking if you want to change thepaper size. Change the paper size andpaper type settings if needed, followingthe on-screen instructions.

    • When you load a different paper size inthe tray, you must change the paper sizesetting in the machine or on yourcomputer at the same time.

    1 Pull the paper tray completely out of themachine.

    2 Press and slide the paper guides to fitthe paper.Press the green release levers to slidethe paper guides.

    For Legal or Folio size paper, press therelease button (1) in the bottom of thepaper tray and then pull out the back ofthe paper tray. (Legal and Folio sizepaper are not available in some regions.)

    3 Fan the stack of paper well.

  • 4 Load paper with the printing surfaceface down in the paper tray.DO NOT load different types of paper inthe paper tray at the same time. Doingthis may cause the paper to jam ormisfeed.

    5 Make sure the paper is below themaximum paper mark (b b b).Overfilling the paper tray will causepaper jams.

    6 Slowly push the paper tray completelyinto the machine.

    7 Lift the support flap to prevent paperfrom sliding off the output tray.

    8 Send your print job to the machine.Change your print preferences in the Printdialog box before sending the print jobfrom your computer.

    Set the Check Size

    Your Fuji Xerox machine's Check Size settingcauses the machine to display a messagewhen you remove the paper tray from themachine, asking if you changed the papersize.

    The default setting is On.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > General Setup > TraySetting > Check Size.

    2 Press On or Off.

    3 Press .

    Change the Paper SizeWhen you change the size of the paper youload in the tray, you must change the papersize setting on the LCD at the same time.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > General Setup > TraySetting > Paper Size.

    2 Press a or b to display the A4, Letter,A5, A5 L, A6, Executive, Legal orFolio option, and press the option youwant.

  • Change the Paper TypeTo get the best print quality, set the machinefor the type of paper you are using.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > General Setup > TraySetting > Paper Type.

    2 Press a or b to display the Thin, PlainPaper, Thick, Thicker or RecycledPaper option, and press the option youwant.

    3 Press .

    Using Special PaperAlways test paper samples before purchasingthem to ensure desirable performance.

    WARNINGDo not use conductive paper such as origamipaper, carbonic paper or conductively-coatedpaper. When paper jam occurs, it may causeshort-circuit and eventually a fire accident.

    • DO NOT use inkjet paper; it may cause apaper jam or damage your machine.

    • If you use bond paper, paper with a roughsurface, or paper that is wrinkled orcreased, the paper may exhibit degradedperformance.

    IMPORTANTSome types of paper may not perform well ormay cause damage to your machine.

    DO NOT use paper:

    • that is highly textured

    • that is extremely smooth or shiny

    • that is curled or warped

    • that is coated or has a chemical finish

    • that is damaged, creased or folded

    • that exceeds the recommended weightspecification in this guide

    • with tabs and staples

    • with letterheads using low temperaturedyes or thermography

    • that is multipart or carbonless

    • that is designed for inkjet printing

    If you use any of the types of paper listedabove, they may damage your machine. Thisdamage is not covered under any Fuji Xeroxwarranty or service agreement.

    1 Select the print command in yourapplication.

    2 Select FX DocuPrint XXXX (whereXXXX is the name of your model).

    3 Click OK.

    4 Complete your print operation.

    Print on Both Sides of thePaper (Windows®)

    • Select A4 size paper when using theautomatic 2‑sided printing option.

    1 Select the print command in yourapplication.

    2 Select FX DocuPrint XXXX (whereXXXX is the name of your model), andthen click the printing properties orpreferences button.

    The printer driver window appears.

    3 Click the 2-sided / Booklet drop-downlist and select the 2-sided option.

    4 Click the 2-sided Settings button.

    5 Select an option from the 2-sided Typemenu.

    6 Click OK.

  • 7 Click OK again, and then complete yourprint operation. Print More Than One Pageon a Single Sheet of Paper(N in 1) (Windows®)

    1 Select the print command in yourapplication.

    2 Select FX DocuPrint XXXX (whereXXXX is the name of your model), andthen click the printing properties orpreferences button.

    The printer driver window appears.

    3 Click the Multiple Page drop-down listand select the 2 in 1, 4 in 1, 9 in 1, 16in 1, or 25 in 1 option.

    4 Click OK.

    5 Complete your print operation.

  • Printing on Envelopes,Thick Paper or Labels

    When the back cover (face-up output tray) ispulled down, the machine has a straight paperpath from the manual feed slot on the front ofthe machine through the back of the machineand onto the face-up output tray. Use thismanual feed and output method for printing onthick paper or envelopes.

    • Load the paper or envelope into themanual feed slot with the printing surfaceface up.

    • DO NOT load more than one sheet ofpaper or one envelope in the manualfeed slot at any one time. Doing this maycause a jam.

    1 Open the back cover (face-up outputtray).

    2 (For printing envelopes) Pull down thetwo green levers, one on the left sideand one on the right side, to theenvelope position as shown in theillustration.

    3 On the front of the machine, open themanual feed slot cover.

    4 Slide the manual feed slot paper guidesto the width of the paper.

  • 5 Push one sheet of paper or oneenvelope firmly into the manual feedslot.

    Continue pushing the paper until the topedge of the paper presses against therollers for about two seconds, or untilthe machine grabs the paper and pulls itin further.

    6 Select the print command in yourapplication.

    7 Select FX DocuPrint XXXX (whereXXXX is the name of your model), andthen click the printing properties orpreferences button.

    The printer driver window appears.

    8 Click the Paper Size drop-down list andselect your paper size.

    9 Click the Media Type drop-down list andselect the type of paper you are using.

    10 Click the First Page and Other Pagesdrop-down lists and select Manual.

    11 Click the Portrait or Landscape optionto set the orientation of your printout.

    12 Change other printer settings if needed.

    13 Click OK.

    14 Click Print.

    15 (For printing envelopes) When you havefinished printing, return the two greenlevers back to their original positions.

  • Printing on Plain Paper, ThinPaper, Recycled Paper orBond Paper using theManual Feed Slot

    • Load the paper into the manual feed slotwith the printing surface face up.

    • DO NOT load more than one sheet ofpaper in the manual feed slot at any onetime. Doing this may cause a jam.

    1 Lift up the support flap to prevent paperfrom sliding off the face-down outputtray, or remove each page as soon as itcomes out of the machine.

    2 Open the manual feed slot cover.

    3 Slide the manual feed slot paper guidesto the width of the paper.

    4 Push one sheet of paper firmly into themanual feed slot.Continue pushing the paper until the topedge of the paper presses against therollers for about two seconds, or untilthe machine grabs the paper and pulls itin further.

    1 Make sure you have loaded the correctsize paper in the paper tray.

    2 Do one of the following:• Place the document face up in the

    ADF.

    (If you are copying multiple pages,we recommend using the ADF.)

    • Place the document face down onthe scanner glass.

    3 Press (Copy).The LCD displays:

    • Press to display numerickeypad on the LCD, and then enterthe number of copies. Press OK.

    Density Increase the density to make the text darker.Decrease the density to make the text lighter.

    9 Press Start to scan the page.If you are copying using the ADF, themachine feeds and scans the pages andstarts printing.

    If you are copying using the scanner glass,go to the next step.

    10 After the machine scans the page, pressthe Scan or Complete option.Option Description

    Scan Press Scan to scan thenext page.

    Place the next page onthe scanner glass, andthen press OK.

    Complete Press Complete whenyou have scanned all thepages.

    DO NOT touch the printed page until it isejected the second time. The machine willprint the first side and eject the paper, andthen pull the paper back in to print the secondside.

    Copy a 2-sided DocumentUsing the ADF

    You must choose a 2-sided copy layoutfrom the following options before you canstart 2-sided copying.

  • Set Telephone LineCompatibility forInterference and VoIPSystems

    Problems sending and receiving faxes due topossible interference on the telephone linemay be solved by lowering the modem speedto minimize errors in fax transmission. If youare using a Voice over IP (VoIP) service, FujiXerox recommends changing the compatibilityto Basic (for VoIP).

    • VoIP is a type of phone system thatuses an Internet connection, ratherthan a traditional phone line.

    • Fuji Xerox does not recommend theuse of a VoIP line. VoIP limitations ingeneral can cause some functions ofthe fax machine not to work correctly.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > Initial Setup >Compatibility.

    2 Press High, Normal or Basic (forVoIP).Option Description

    High Select High to set themodem speed at 33600bps.

    Normal Select Normal to set themodem speed at 14400bps.

    To receive a fax in Manual Mode, lift thehandset of the external telephone or press

    (Fax) and then Hook.

    When you hear fax tones (short repeatingbeeps), press Fax Start and thenReceive to receive a fax. Use the FaxDetect feature to receive faxes when youhave lifted a handset on the same line asthe machine.

    External TAD Mode(External TAD in the Machine's Menu)External TAD Mode lets an externalanswering device manage your incomingcalls.

    Incoming calls will be handled in thefollowing ways:

    • Faxes will be received automatically.

    • Voice callers can record a message onthe external TAD.

  • Set the F/T Ring Time (FastDouble-ring)

    When you set the Receive Mode to Fax/TelMode, if the call is a fax, your machine willautomatically receive it. However, if it is avoice call, the machine will sound the F/T ring(fast double-ring) for the time you set in theF/T Ring Time option. When you hear the F/Tring, it means that a voice caller is on the line.

    • The F/T Ring Time feature works whenyou set Fax/Tel Mode as the ReceiveMode.

    Because the F/T ring is made by the machine,extension and external telephones will notring; however, you can still answer the call onany telephone.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > Fax > Setup Receive >F/T Ring Time.

    2 Press how long you want the machine toring to alert you that you have a voicecall.

    3 Press .Even if the caller hangs up during thepseudo/double-ringing, the machine willcontinue to ring for the set time.

    Set the Number of RingsBefore the MachineAnswers (Ring Delay)

    When somebody calls your machine, you willhear the normal telephone ring sound. Thenumber of rings is set in the Ring Delayoption.

    • The Ring Delay setting sets the numberof times the machine rings before itanswers in the Fax Only Mode and theFax/Tel Mode.

    • If you have external or extensiontelephones on the same line as themachine, choose the maximum numberof rings.

    1 Press (Settings) > AllSettings > Fax > Setup Receive >Ring Delay.

    2 Press the number of rings you want theline to ring before the machine answers.If you select 0, the machine will answerimmediately and the line will not ring at all(available only for some countries).

  • Store NumbersStore fax and telephone numbers in themachine for quick dialling and broadcastingfaxes to groups. When you dial a storednumber, the LCD displays the number.

    If you lose electrical power, the AddressBook numbers that are in the machine'smemory will not be lost.

    Use the Address Book to store up to 200Addresses with a name.

    1 Press (Fax) > Address Book.

  • Telephone Services and External DevicesYou may be able to use the following services and connections with your Fuji Xerox machine.

    These are summaries of ways to connect your machine. For details about each topic, see theOnline User's Guide.

    Voice MailIf you have a voicemail service on thetelephone line that your Fuji Xerox machine isconnected to, they may conflict with oneanother when receiving incoming faxes. Ifusing this service, we suggest setting the FujiXerox machine's Receive Mode to Manual.

    Voice Over Internet Protocol(VoIP)

    VoIP is a type of phone system that uses anInternet connection instead of a traditionaltelephone line. Your machine may not workwith some VoIP systems. If you havequestions about how to connect your machineto a VoIP system, contact your VoIP provider.

    Connection of an ExternalTelephone AnsweringDevice (TAD)

    You may choose to connect an externalanswering device to your Fuji Xerox machine.To receive faxes successfully, you mustconnect it correctly. Connect your externalTAD to the jack labeled EXT. on the Fuji Xeroxmachine. When recording an outgoingmessage on your external TAD, werecommend recording 5 seconds of silence atthe beginning of your message, and limitingyour speaking to 20 seconds. Set yourmachine's Receive Mode to External TAD.

    External and ExtensionTelephones

    You can connect a separate phone into thejack labeled EXT. on the Fuji Xerox machine.If you answer a fax call on an extension orexternal telephone, you can make yourmachine receive the fax by pressing * 5 1. Ifthe machine answers a voice call and fastdouble rings for you to take over, press # 5 1

    • Even if you turn off your computer (atnight or on the weekend, for example),your machine will receive and store yourfaxes in its memory. The number ofreceived faxes that are stored in thememory appears on the LCD.

    • When you start your computer and thePC-Fax Receive software runs, yourmachine transfers your faxes to yourcomputer automatically.

    • For PC-Fax Receive to work, the PC-FAX Receive software must be runningon your computer.

    • Before you can set up PC-Fax Receive,you must install the Multi-Function Suitesoftware on your computer. Make sureyour Fuji Xerox machine is connected toyour computer and turned on.

    • If your machine displays an error and isunable to print faxes from memory, usePC-FAX to transfer your faxes to acomputer.

    • PC-Fax Receive is not available forMacintosh.

    • The interface cables are securely connected to the machine and the computer.

    1 Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the area labelled "LINE", and then connectthe other end of the telephone line cord directly to a telephone wall socket.If you can send and receive faxes when the telephone line is directly connected to the fax,the problem may be unrelated to the machine. Please contact your telephone serviceprovider for connection issues.

  • Troubleshooting for Other Fax Problems

    Difficulties Suggestions

    Cannot send a fax. Check all line cord connections. Make sure the telephone line cord isplugged into the telephone wall socket and the LINE socket of themachine. If you subscribe to DSLor VoIP services, contact your serviceprovider for connection instructions.

    Make sure you pressed Fax and the machine is in Fax mode.

    Print the Transmission Verification Report and check for an error.

    Contact your administrator to check your Secure Function LockSettings.

    Ask the other party to check that the receiving machine has paper.

    Cannot receive a fax. Make sure your machine has a dial tone by pressing Hook. If you hearstatic or interference on your fax line, contact your local telephonecompany.

    If you are using a telephone answering machine (External TADmode) on the same line as the Fuji Xerox machine, make sure youranswering machine is set up correctly.

    1. Record the outgoing message on your answering machine.

    • Record five seconds of silence at the beginning of your outgoingmessage.

    • Limit your speaking to 20 seconds.

    • End your outgoing message with your Fax Receive Code forpeople sending manual faxes. For example: “After the beep,leave a message or press *51 and Start to send a fax.”

    2. Set your answering machine to answer calls.

    3. Set your Fuji Xerox machine’s Receive Mode to External TAD.Make sure your Fuji Xerox machine’s Fax Detect feature is turned On.Fax Detect is a feature that allows you to receive a fax even if you haveanswered the call on an external or extension telephone.

    Received faxesappear as split pages.

    Turn on Auto Reduction.

    Dialling does not work.(No dial tone)

    Check all line cord connections.

    Change Tone/Pulse setting. (Available only for some countries)

    Poor sending quality. Try changing your resolution to Fine or S.Fine.Make a copy to check your machine’s scanner operation. If the copyquality is not good, clean the scanner.

    Vertical black lineswhen sending.

    Black vertical lines on faxes you send are typically caused by dirt orcorrection fluid on the glass strip.

  • Print or Scan Problems

    If you cannot print or scan a document,check the following:

    1 All of the machine's protective partshave been removed.

    2 The interface cables are securelyconnected to the machine and thecomputer.

    3 The printer or scanner driver has beeninstalled correctly.To make sure the printer or scannerdriver is installed on your computer, seeRelated Information: Other Problems

    4 (Scan problem only)Confirm the machine is assigned with anavailable IP address. (Windows®)

    a. Do one of the following:

    (Windows Vista®)

    Click (Start) > Control Panel >Hardware and Sound > Scannersand Cameras.

    (Windows® 7)

    Click (Start) > All Programs >Fuji Xerox > Fuji Xerox Utilities.Click the drop-down list and selectyour model name (if not alreadyselected). Click Scan in the leftnavigation bar, and then clickScanners and Cameras.

    (Windows® 8)

    Click (Fuji Xerox Utilities),and then click the drop-down list andselect your model name (if notalready selected). Click Scan in theleft navigation bar, and then clickScanners and Cameras.

    b. Do one of the following:

    (Windows Vista®, Windows® 7 andWindows® 8)

    Click the Properties button.c. Click the Network Setting tab to

    confirm the machine's IP address.

    Try printing with your machine. If theproblem still remains, uninstall andreinstall the printer driver.

    5 If the problem still remains after trying allthe above, try the following:For a USB interface connection

    • Change the USB cable for a newone.

    • Use a different USB port.

    For a Wired Network connection

    • Change the LAN cable for a new one.

    • Use a different LAN port on your hub.

    • Make sure your machine's wiredconnection is on.

    For a Wireless Network connection

    • Confirm your machine's Wi-Fi lightstatus.

    If the Wi-Fi light on your machine'scontrol panel is blinking, yourmachine has not been connected tothe WLAN access point. Set up thewireless network connection again.

    If the Wi-Fi light on your machine'scontrol panel is off, the WLANconnection setting is disabled.Enable the WLAN connection and setup the wireless network connection.

    If the document rips or tears, remove allsmall paper scraps to prevent futurejams.

    5 Insert a strip of stiff paper, such ascardstock, into the ADF to push anysmall paper scraps through.

    If the document rips or tears, remove allsmall paper scraps to prevent futurejams.

    6 Press .

    Clear the Paper Jam

    Always remove the remaining paper from thepaper tray and straighten the stack when youare adding new paper. This helps preventmultiple sheets of paper from feeding throughthe machine at one time and prevents paperjams.

    Paper is Jammed in the Paper TrayIf the LCD displays Jam Tray, do thefollowing:

    1 Pull the paper tray completely out of themachine.

    2 Slowly pull out the jammed paper.

    The easiest way to remove the paper isto use both hands to pull it downward.

  • 3 Fan the stack of paper to prevent furtherjams, and slide the paper guides to fitthe paper size.

    4 Make sure the paper is below themaximum paper mark (b b b).

    5 Put the paper tray firmly back in themachine.

    Paper is Jammed in the OutputPaper TrayWhen the paper is jammed in the outputpaper tray, do the following:

    1 Use both hands to open the scanner.

    2 Remove the paper.

    3 Push the scanner down with both handsto close it.

  • Paper is Jammed at the Back of theMachineIf the machine's control panel or the StatusMonitor indicates that there is a jam in theback (Rear) of the machine, complete thefollowing:

    1 Leave the machine turned on for 10minutes. This allows the internal fan tocool the extremely hot parts inside themachine.

    2 Open the back cover.

    3 Pull the blue tabs at the left and rightsides toward you to release the fusingunit cover.

    WARNINGHOT SURFACE

    The machine's internal parts will be extremelyhot. Wait for the machine to cool down beforetouching them.

    4 Use both hands to gently pull thejammed paper out of the fusing unit.

  • 5 Close the fusing unit cover. Make surethe blue tabs at the left and right sideslock into place.

    6 Close the back cover until it locks in theclosed position.

    Paper is Jammed inside theMachineIf the machine's control panel or the StatusMonitor indicates that there is a jam inside themachine, complete the following:

    CAUTIONDo not attempt to remove a paper jammeddeeply inside the product, particularly a paperwrapped around a heat roller. Otherwise, itmay cause injuries or burns, and even worse,may generate smoke if you keep operatingthe product with a paper jammed. Switch offthe product promptly and contact your localFuji Xerox representative for moreinformation.

    2 Open the front cover.

  • 3 Remove the toner cartridge and drumunit assembly.

    4 Pull out the jammed paper slowly.

    5 Install the toner cartridge and drum unitassembly into the machine.

    6 Close the front cover.Paper is Jammed in the 2-sidedTrayIf the machine's control panel or the StatusMonitor indicates that there is a jam in the 2-sided paper tray, do the following:

    1 Leave the machine turned on for 10minutes. This allows the internal fan tocool the extremely hot parts inside themachine.

  • 3 At the back of the machine, pull the2‑sided tray completely out of themachine.

    4 Pull the jammed paper out of themachine or out of the 2‑sided tray.

    5 Remove paper that may have jammedunder the machine due to staticelectricity.

    6 If paper is not caught inside the 2-sidedtray, open the back cover.

    WARNINGHOT SURFACE

    The machine's internal parts will be extremelyhot. Wait for the machine to cool down beforetouching them.

    7 Use both hands to gently pull thejammed paper out of the back of themachine.

    8 Close the back cover until it locks in theclosed position.

    9 Put the 2-sided tray firmly back in therear of the machine.

  • How to Enter Text on Your Fuji Xerox Machine

    • When you must enter text on your Fuji Xerox machine, a keyboard appears on the LCD.

    • The characters that are available may differ depending on your country.

    • The keyboard layout may differ depending on the function you are setting.

    • Press to cycle between letters, numbers and special characters.

    • Press to cycle between lowercase and uppercase letters.

    • To move the cursor to the left or right, press d or c.

    Inserting spaces• To enter a space, press Space.

    Making corrections• If you entered a character incorrectly and want to change it, press d or c to move the cursor to

    the incorrect character and press . Enter the correct character.

    • To insert a character, press d or c to move the cursor to the correct place, and then enter thecharacter.

    • Press for each character you want to erase, or press and hold to erase all thecharacters.
