ABSTRACTDeveloped by the National Institute of Mental Health,
this booklet offers a programed instruction course on drugs and theireffects. The purpose of the text is to learn about specific drugswhich are currently being used and abused by a large group of peoplein our society. Narcotics, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, and marihuana are studied. The material is self-teaching, requiringabout two hours for completion. Each page is divided into framescontaining statements and questions with space provided for writtenanswers. Answers for individual frames are printed opposite thefollowing frame in the answer column to allow for movement down thepage without exposing answers to the current question prematurely. Areview section is included. (BL)
