ABSTRACTThis annotated bibliography lists 96 recent

biographies and autobiographies for secondary students that have beenfavorably reviewed in the literature. A little more than a quarter ofthe entries represent books on government or political leaders. Bookson writers, sports figures, performers, and historical figures arealso well represented. Also included are books about military, media,and scientific figures. Five of the books are collections of briefbiographies. Each entry includes an indication of age appropriatenessand the source of a review of that item. The bibliography is arrangedin alphabetical order by author, and a subject index is included.(KRN)
