ABSTRACT

This document offers seven tables of data on degreesconferred at institutions of higher education in New York state inacademic year 1987-88. Table 1 shows degrees conferred by level ofdegree and institutional classification. Table 2 illustrates degreesconferred by institution, level of degree, and sex of student. Table3 contains data on bachelor's and higher degrees conferred by sectorand major subject area. Table 4 shows bachelor's and higlier degreetrends by major subject area from 1985-86 to 1987-88. Table 5 showsdegree trends by sector, level of degree, and year. Table 6illustrates associate degrees conferred by sector and major subjectarea. Table 7 contains figures on percent distribution of degreesconferred by level of degree and type of institution. The data weregathered by means of Higher Education Data System Form 2.1 of the NewYork State Education Department. (3B)
