Supplement to Dash 8 AMM PSM 1-8-2, 1-82-2, 1-83-2, or 1-84-2 Chapter 52 – Passenger Door
AMM Supplement Information: All Maintenance Practices and Removal and Installation Instructions in Chapter 52, Passenger Door, remain applicable for aircraft with PDA handrail mechanism fork bolts 85210089-101-3PMA and/or nuts 85210091-101-3PMA installed.
Supplement to Dash 8 SRM PSM 1-8-3, 1-82-3, 1-83-3, or 1-84-3 Structural Repair Manual and Generic Repair Schemes Supplement,
Chapter 52
Structural Repair Manual and SRM Repair Schemes Supplement Information: No repair scheme information exists for original parts 85210089-101 and 85210091-101. For PDA part 85210089-101-3PMA and 85210091-101-3PMA, any nick, gouge, scratch, or other damage of up to .010” in depth on the surface of the part is to be smooth polished to remove sharp edges. Visually inspect for any cracks (use a 10X magnifying glass) – no cracks permitted. Refinish as follows:
- For upper fork end portion of bolt part 85210089-101-3PMA, restore cosmetic finish if desired by reapplying epoxy primer and enamel (color to match existing) in accordance with the Dash 8 Structural Repair Manual; Chapter 51-20-36 and 51-20-51 for the DHC-8-100 / -200 / -300 SRM, and Chapter 51-25-10 and 51-25-15 for DHC-8-400 SRM.
- For the square shaft portion of bolt part 85210089-101-3PMA, reapply dry film lube (air dry cure only required) in accordance with Chapter 20-32-09 of the AMM for the DHC-8-100 / -200 / -300, and Chapter 51-25-21 of the AMM for the DHC-8-400.
- For PDA nut 85210091-101-3PMA, no finish is required.
