STEP 1- SETUP CONTENT TYPES

1. Create a content type based on the Document content type

2. Add a template for each content type (Quote, Proposal, etc.)1. Only Word Documents work with this

3. Add your Metadata

4. Add the content type to a Library

5. Etc…

STEP 2 - MAP WORD PARTS

1. Map out the document Template

2. Add the Metadata to the Document using Word Parts

3. Careful now…1. Some Data Types cannot display as Word Parts2. Challenging to spin up repeating items (Sales Order

with Line Items)

4. Adding a new item in the Lib should already

STEP 3 – THE WORKFLOW…

1. Create a new, separate list with mapped metadata fields

2. Workflow Action like “Wait for approval” (or whatever)

3. Based on your conditions/criteria, create a new Item in the Document Library

4. Careful… (again)1. On Office 365, SharePoint 2013 workflows are problematic – use
