6. Instructions for Joining Webex Meeting

Before the meeting (preferably a couple of days before):Test Webex using the same device and internet connection that will be used for the meeting at https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html/

Preferable use se Chrome browser – it will ask you to install a plugin or download and run a temporary application. In case these are blocked by your administrator, please contact them to allow this or use a different PC.

On the meeting day (8 July 2020)Join the meeting:Join through the “Join Meeting” button in the meeting invitation to be sent to you 15 mins prior to check any technical/connection issues. The meeting will be opened 30 mins prior to allow you to check audio video connections.

Download the WebEx app on your phone/tablet as a backup solution.

During the meeting

i. Connect Audio:Click the audio connection options in the Webex Meetings app.

ii. Choose how you want to hear the audio in the meeting (we suggest to “use computer for audio”):

iii. Mute your microphone

Click Mute my microphone . You'll see when your microphone is muted.

Click Unmute my microphone when you want to speak in the meeting.

v. During the meeting / configurations

Use the meeting controls for using Chat panel to ask something or unmute and ask. By default please mute yourself during the meeting.

Control will be given to the presenter to be able to share the presentation and present it remotely.Please check and share the correct screen or application (especially if you have two screens…)Consider closing any computer applications not needed during the meeting in order to free system resources; Also, when presenting these may pop-up or partially block your presentation.
