Doane College vs. MidAmerica Nazarene Doane College vs. Grand View

Doane will face a challenge on Day One of the Bellevue Labor Day Classic as they face No. 16 MidAmerica Nazarene and No. 6 Grand View. All three teams enter this week undefeated.

MNU defeated Haskell Indian Nation in straight sets as they are 1-0. Zoraida Heredia posted 11 kills in the match and Rachel Kater dished out 21 assists. Tashley Snyder picked up 12 digs.

Grand View is 4-0 entering the week, winning each match in four sets. Abby Graves leads the way with 3.25 kills/set and Chrissy Daggett has dished out 12.58 assists/set. Courtney Bliss is averaging 5.67 digs/set.

Game Day - No. 5 & 6 - August 30

Doane College vs. Viterbo Doane College vs. Evangel

It what can be termed a slighly easier day based on rankings, the Tigers will face No. 15 Viterbo and Evangel, who is receiving votes in the preseason poll.

Viterbo is 6-0 entering the week after a 4-0 trip to California to face some of the tough GSAC teams. Alicia Olson is averaging 5.32 kills/set. Setting up the attack is Brianna Brinkman with 10.42 assists/set. Jennifer Krentz leads the team with 4.0 digs/set and six ace serves on the year.

Evangel opened the year with a 2-2 opening weekend. Jackie Fugate is averaging 3.0 kills/set and has a team-high 15 blocks. Evangel runs a 6-2 offense with setters Chloe Hadley (4.3 assists) and Maddie Baumann (3.9 assists) leading the way. Morgan Smith is averaging 4.3 digs/set.
