If you answered YES to any one of the above, then SAVE THE DATE June 22, 23 & 24th for the 12 th Annual Metis Heritage Celebration at Memorial Park in Oshawa. The Oshawa and Durham Region Metis Council hosts this cultural event annually and includes, entertainers, games, crafts, vendors and cultural displays and we need a lot of help! Duties may include: Setting up tables and chairs (heavy lifting) on Friday, June 22 Setting up event tents on Friday, June 22 Transporting supplies from trucks, Council office etc. to Memorial Park Selling ice cream & water on Saturday and Sunday Cutting/serving cake on Saturday and Sunday Act as a “runner” Relieve other volunteers from assigned duties Help with tear down on Sunday (includes putting everything away) If you are interested, please contact Terri Head (905-434-7865) [email protected] for more information.
