Did you know that every year in the U.S we produceover 2.7 million tons of plastic bottles.
Over 46,000 pieces of plastic debris float on every square mile of the ocean.
1.5 million barrels of oil is used annually to produce plastic water bottles for America alone.
That’s enough to fuel about 100,000 U.S. cars for a year.
8 out of 10 bottles will end up in a landfill.
And it doesn't end there…..
Plastic is a MAN MADE material.
It does NOT decompose naturally.
It takes over 1,000 years for plastic to start breaking down.
That means that if you throw away ONE plastic bottlein a land fill today, it will still be there in the year 3010.3010
Our land fills are filling up WAY TOO FAST!!!
