REV 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

JAS 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

25 But the man who looks intently into the

perfect law that gives freedom,

and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.

MT 15:9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'

What Jesus said of the Pharisees about Food.

MT 15:10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand.

MT 15:11 What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean.' (Foods you can’t eat)

"Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

MT 15:18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man `unclean.'

EX 16:4 Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

Test to follow the Lord

EX 20:20 Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."

2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
