Do we really loveJesus in Sincerity?

• Eph. 6:24 “Grace be to all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ• In Sincerity! Amen”

• The phrase “In Christ” is • Found in Ephesians • A number of times!

Eph. 4:4-6 There is

1 body, 1 Spirit, even as ye are called in 1 hope of your calling; 5 1 Lord, 1 faith, 1 baptism, 6

1 God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all

How can we say that we aresincere in our love for Jesus if

We say that there are many churches…when He says:

1 - Church

• There is One Body• Many verses in the Bible• 1. I Cor. 12:27 Now ye are the body of

Christ, and members in particular.• 2. I Cor. 12:12 For as the body is • One, and hath many members, and all the

members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

• 3. Col.1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead;that in all things he might have the preeminence.

• 4. Eph. 1:20-23 “which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.”

How can we say that we are sincere in our love for Jesus if we

• Say there are many Spirits!

1 Holy Spirit

• John 16:13• Acts 5:3 Ananias was told by• Peter you have “lied to the Holy• Spirit of God”!

1 Hope

• There is One Hope• God says we are saved by Hope!• Rom. 8:24• How can we say we are sincere in

our love for Jesus if we think• There is hope for all men, no matter

how they live!

1 Lord-Jesus Christ

• There is One Lord• How can we say we are sincere• In our love for Jesus Christ if weSay that there are many lords. Col.1:18 He is the Head..Lord Col. 3:17 Whatever we do must be done through Him!

1- FaithNot 2,3,4-thousands!

• There is One Faith• One system of religion…• Jude 3.. .’earnestly contend for • ‘the faith’.• 2 Tim. 4:7,8 “keep the faith”•

1- BaptismWater Baptism

• There is One Baptism• 1. Mtt.28:18-20 ‘baptizing them’• 2. Acts 18:8 .’hearing,believed

and were baptized• 3. Acts 10:48 ‘commanded them

to be baptized.

• There is One God--- Not many gods… Acts 17:24; Heb. 1:1;• Who is Father of all• Who is above all• Who is through all• Who is in you all..

• How can we say that we are • Sincere in our love for Jesus if• We will not abide in His teaching?• cf. Matt.28:18-20

1.Spiritual growth – Eph. 4:16cf. 2 Pet. 3:18

• [16] From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

2. Control of anger – Eph. 4:26-27

• [26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:• [27] Neither give place to the

devil.

3. Warning against corrupt communication – Eph. 4:29

• [29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

4. Kind, tenderhearted and forgiving – Eph. 4:32

• [32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
