WV: GSM NETWORK AND NETWORK ELEMENT SPECIFIC NUMBER HANDLING

Note that the command groups for the MSC and the HLR are slightly different. Inthis command group the commands C, D, M and J concern the MSC only.

You can use the commands of the command group to create, delete, modify, andinterrogate network and network element specific numbers.

You need the commands of this command group when you configure handoversor roamings in the network. The specific numbers are needed when setting up, forexample, the mobile network code to the system.

All numbers are stored in the GSM Network and Network-Element-SpecificNumber File (HRNFIL). ESKIMO uses the GSM Network and Network-SpecificNumbers Program Block (KAYAKS) to handle HRNFIL.

After each change HRNFIL is distributed to the computer units which use it.

type of number,MSRN group,ESRK range index <option>,ESRK prefix<option>;

Syntax

WVC:(HON=<handover number>...|

MSRN=<mobile station roaming number>...|

ESRK=<emergency services routing key> <option>...):

[TON=<type of number> |

[RNGP=<MSRN group> | 0 def] |

EIDX=<ESRK range index> <option> |

EPRE=<ESRK prefix> <option>];

Parameter explanations

handover number

HON= The starting and ending points of thehandover number range separated with the'&&' signs. The maximum length of thenumber is 18 digits. Both numbers musthave the same number of digits. Handovernumbers can be either national orinternational and therefore the type of thenumber must be specified in the secondparameter block. If an internationalnumber is used, the number must beginwith your own country code. Themaximum HON range is 200.

If the MSRN is already in the TNA, check with the WVJ:MSRN command whichMSRNs are already in use.

If the number of MSRNs in the TNA is more than 2000, use the WVJ:MSRNcommand to find out how many MSRNs there are.

After this message the system outputs information on TNAPRB in the form of anormal execution message.
