Dance Marathon at FSU brings together thousands of students, faculty, and members of the Tallahassee community. Driven by our cause, DM at FSU

creates a truly unforgettable experience for all of those involved. We team up with student organizations from across campus for a yearlong fundraiser

that culminates into a 40-hour celebration of miracles where more than 1,800 students stay awake and on their feet, in order to raise funds for children in need

of medical care. FTK (FOR THE KIDS) is the motto that unites this diverse, driven, and passionate community of students for one weekend at the Tallahassee

WHAT IS DM AT FSU?

20 YEAR ANNIVERSARYThis upcoming year will mark the 20th anniversary of Dance Marathon at Florida

State University! For the past 19 years, Dance Marathon has carved its place into the Tallahassee culture, cementing itself as true tradition at Florida State. Each year more and more students, faculty, and community members are

inspired and committed to continuing this tradition. Join us in celebrating what once was a small student organization and has now evolved into the 4th largest

student-run philanthropy in the entire country. Together we can make more miracles and save more lives than ever before!

CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALSCMNH is a nonprofit organization that raises funds internationally for more

than 170 children’s hospitals. Shands Children’s Hospital, our local CMN Hospital, is a 165-bed facility, including fully equipped pediatric and neonatal

intensive care units. Physicians at our local CMN Hospital offer nearly every clinical service, from basic primary care to highly specialized procedures such

as organ and bone marrow transplantations.

DM at FSU has been a proud partner of the FSU College of Medicine for many years. Half of the money raised at Dance Marathon is given to the

College of Medicine to enhance its grant program. These grants have helped make renovations possible to the pediatrics unit and pediatric intensive care unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Half of the money

raised at our event has also provided funding for preventativeservice, chronic disease management, and behavioral health assessments

for children in Gadsden County.

Each year, DM at FSU provides food for over 1,800 dancers, which are broken up into two shifts of 900 people each. These meals play a crucial role in the

success of Dance Marathon because they alone sustain participants for the duration of the two 20-hour shifts of the event. Additionally, DM at FSU

welcomes catering sponsors to provide food for other events throughout the year.

Dance Marathon at FSU welcomes in-kind donations from all companies. We strive to use these in-kind donations in our silent auction and in our weekly

Miracle Rewards that are given to the week’s top fundraisers.
