DMAEvaluate the painting on the right. From your point of view, would you make any changes? If so, what would they be?

Space
The area used or unused in a composition. All work can have height, width, and depth Positive space – the area the objects/subject
takes up.Negative space – the area around, under,
through and between.Gives a 3-dimensional feeling/illusion. (Depth) Foreground (closest), Middle ground, and
Background (farthest).
Learning Targets
• Understand the basic concepts of Linear Perspective• Understand basic terms used in Linear Perspective• Understand how to use One Point Linear Perspective to create the
illusion of depth.
Success Criteria: I can…
• Create the illusion of depth using basic shapes and the rules of one point perspective.
Terms
• Vanishing point Dots placed on the horizon are called the "vanishing points".
One point perspective utilizes one vanishing point. This dot can best be thought of as the place where objects begin to disappear because of distance. Some of the lines used in one point perspective will use the "vanishing point" as an anchor.
Terms
• Horizon line in perspective drawing is a horizontal line across the picture. It is always at eye level
• Eye level In perspective drawing, the horizon also happens to be the viewer's eye-level
• Perspective is the illusion of space• Orthogonal Line is the line you draw from the corner of an object to
the vanishing point. Orthogonal lines should always be drawn lightly at first. Usually, most of an orthogonal will be erased.
What is One Point Perspective?
• One point perspective is a type of linear perspective. • Linear perspective relies on the use of lines to render objects leading
to the illusion of space and form in a flat work of art. • It is a geometric structured approach to drawing. • One point perspective gets its name from the fact that it utilizes a
single vanishing point.
