She obtained her MD PhD in 1998 and then wentpostdoc. In the following years, her interest in scientific management arose. From 2004 to 2007 Susanne headed the administration of the

Institute and accomplished a “Magister rerum publicarum” (Master of Public Administration)

Establishing infrastructure on this scale, which should serve whole Europe, means that we need to coordinate activities of scientists that are working with imaging in Europe (e.g. biologists and medics who are using imaging technologies, engineers and physicists developing novel technologies, bioinformaticians developing new image analysis software) and also to work close with national funders and governments who will fund the building of this imaging infrastructure.

In this project I am involved in general communication with the public and with the European scientific community (through webpage, newsletters, emails, press releases), with individual scientists who are leading imaging facilitiesBioImaging, and with all other partners on the project.
