Bacchus (F&B), Bangalore does just that and is fast becoming a

favourite with Bangalore’s music savvy circuit. Having played at

Bacchus for about 2 years now and being mentored by Vachan

Chinnappa, Dev has managed to weave in a distinct personal

character into his sets, making every listener come back for

more week after week.

Self taught and determined, Dev’s goal is to reignite and sustain

the techno nights that the city has been missing. His heightened

sense of music and mixing abilities come from years of having

played to a variety of crowds, and understanding the needs of the

dancer in front of the console. Specialising in Minimal Techno and

Breaks, his set is always fresh, always new and never

repetitive-you can hear his heart beat through the beats of the

music he dishes out. Dev also peppers his sets with some slick

scratching, an element rarely heard in most DJ sets. Typically, his

playlists comprise of Gui Borratto, Youtopia, D-Nox & Beckers

and a host of other artists. His set is characterized by ambient

moodscapes, funk, breaks, beat drops and crescendos.

With a musical sensitivity rarely seen and an honest expression

through music, Dev is one of the most prolific DJs in Bangalore

and is on his way to becoming the next big thing.
