2.Topic Justification:As the student of MBA it is our duty and responsibility to gather the practical knowledge of the
industries and organizations and there operations in real world. It can only done by visiting the
actual site and analyze the manufacturing operation and processes.
As we already studied the theoretical part of the operation in our subject PRODUCTION &
OPERATION MANAGEMENT it is also necessary to study and gather practical knowledge of it
by only visiting the actual site of the organization as there is vast difference between theoretical
methods and actual (practical) methods.
e.g: In theoretical we simply say to avoid wastage we should use maximum resources but in
practical it is not always possible to use maximum though applying all the theoretical methods.
This is the reason ones should visit the actual environment and analyze it in a way that it helps
them in future to implement it where ones works.
So all the member discuss and agreed upon the topic of PROCESS ANALYSIS as our
assignment and to be aware and gather the practical knowledge of the process in the
organization to best implementation it in our future.

3.Process chart:Several systems of conventions exist. At Strategos, we find that the original system invented by Frank
Gilbreth in the early 1900's is still the most useful
The Gilbreth approach is highly visual and discriminates between waste and value-added activity. It isalso simple, intuitive and easily used by untrained groups. An experienced facilitator, however, isrequired.
Process Mapping is also known as Process Charting or Flow Charting. It is one of the oldest, simplestand most valuable techniques for streamlining work. It is also subtle and requires experienced facilitatorsfor best results. some of the benefits of Process Charting (Mapping) are:
Spotlights on waste
Streamlines work processes
Defines and standardizes Promotes deep understanding
Builds consensusA process map visually depicts the sequence of events to build a product or produce an outcome. It mayinclude additional information such as cycle time, inventory, and equipment information.
The figure below shows a Process Map example and instructions for its construction. In most situations
only the circle symbol (Operation) adds value.

5.Conclusion:It was the very nice experience to us by visiting the plant we learn many new thing other than
bookish knowledge. To know the applications of the operation methods in the industry is onlyby visiting any organization or real environment where the actual process is going on.
Here we learn how they maintaining the their scheduling, shifts, job works, standardization of
the output, optimum production, wastage control, fully automization, material handling, store
keeping and many other operations.
It was our good fortune to visit such kind of big organization and very thankful to our faculty by
giving such opportunity and knowledge to visit there and see the actual operation and its
importance.
