Division 20Dover ~ Morris Catholic ~ Morris Hills ~ Morris Knolls ~ Morris Votech ~ Randolph ~ Roxbury
A Message from Your LTGHey Division 20, Hope you all enjoyed this past summer! I know you are all prob-ably incredibly busy with the amount of schoolwork you’ve undoubtedly been receiving, but September is one of the busiest Key Club months of the year. Within this newsletter, you’ll find information on upcoming deadlines, as well as important events (RTCs, Fall Rally, Trick or Treat for UNICEF, the newest Divisional Project - The ELIMINATE hands, and DCON). All club presidents and advisors should be receiving the district mailing soon. View page 10 of this newsletter for more info. I must emphasize, this newsletter issue is rather important, so I’d like everyone to browse over the entire thing. I know the immensity of Key Club work, coupled with schoolwork might be overwhelming. Please keep in mind that I’m here to help and make your lives easier. If you need absolutely anything, feel free to contact me. Good luck with every-thing!
Yours in Caring and Service,Audrey Lee

Frequently Asked Questions & Facts
Sources: http://youth.unicefusa.org/trickortreat/, keyclub.org
What IS Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF?
Established as one of the longest-running youth initiatives in America, with more than $164 million raised to date,
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF remains an inspiration for the young (and the young at heart) to further the cause of children every-
where. Hundreds of millions of kids and adults (including past presidents!), spanning three generations of Americans, have been
part of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.
What Will the Money Collected Be Used for This Year?
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF will raise funds for Project ELIMINATE, which will help save the lives of 100 million
mothers and their future babies through immunization against Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus.
Is There a Deadline to Hand in Donations?
There is no deadline to turn in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donations. We encourage you or your school/group to
send funds in as soon as possible so that UNICEF can put donations to work right away.
Where Do I Send the Donations to?
Each Key Club collects and sends in their donations to Key Club International to be recorded and then sent to UNICEF.
NOTE: If you send in your money directly to UNICEF online or through mail, your contribu- tions will not be added to your District’s sum, so make sure to send it to KCI so you
can get recognition for your hard work!
Mail to:
Key Club International 3636 Woodview Trace Indianapolis, IN 46268
Where Do I Order the Boxes from?
If your advisor has not already received them, you can pick them up at Fall RTCs.
Is It True That I Can’t Use Coin Machines?
Contrary to popular opinion , no! Normally, you would be taxed, which is why
most people will tell you not to use them. But as long as you use a CoinStar Center and
select the “U.S. Fund for UNICEF” donation option (code#5555), the machine will count
your change and print a receipt for the full amount. Don’t forget to cash in the receipt
and mail your money to KCI!
To find a CoinStar Machine nearest you, go to http://www.coinstar.com/ or
call 1.800.928.CASH .

Don’t hesitate to contact your Lieutenant Governor for more details!

Kiwanis International and UNICEF are teaming up to eliminate maternal
and neonatal tetanus. 1 baby dies every 9 minutes due to this terrible disease.
However, it is highly preventable. With only 3 injections of a $0.60 vaccine,
mothers can pass their immunity onto their future babies.
Let us join together this year and com-bine our efforts to combat this deadly,
and tragic disease.
YOU can eliMiNaTe.
How you can help:
Become part of your local Kiwanis club. Educate yourself about MNT and share
your knowledge with your community. Rally to get others involved. Be among the first to invest in this campaign. Even the smallest action can be part of change in the world. Visit www.theeliminateproject.com for
more information.
NJ District of Key Club International’s 2011-2012 Fundraising Goal:
$79,180.387: Unwavering, 7-days-a-week dedication9: MNT claims 1 baby every 9 minutes
180: $1.80 is the cost to fully vaccinate a mother
38: number of countries affected by MNT
This page and the following one are the divisional project I’m requiring every club to do for the months of September and October. All club presidents have received an email with a flyer of the ELIMINATE hands, as well as the hands itself. The hands will be sold for $1 each, until October 15th, and will benefit all the children suffer-ing from this easily preventable disease.

NJ District Mascot!by Jerry Zhang

That’s right, finally our district will finally jo-ing the ranks of the Cali-Nev-Ha district with the bee and the Southwest district with the pepper by having our very own mascot! At the August board meeting, the New Jersey Key Club Board of Trustees voted to emulate New Jersey Circle K to be the “Jersey Fresh” tomatoes. So show your pride everywhere with the tomato.
Feel free to call the tomato “Freshie!” :)
