PerSwamisdirecon,twoprogramswereorganized forthepublicinCalifornia.Therstprogramtook placeonthe16thofJuneinSunnyvale,locatedinthe northern partofthestateandoneinEncinitas,locatedinSouthernCalifornia.Devotees aended from all over the USA and also many other countries including Canada, Mexico, Argenna and Fiji.Over 800 received Him in Sunnyvale and over 500 basked in the glow of our Lord in Encinitas. Swamivisitedthehomesand ocesofseveralofHisdevotees andalsoblessedtheSathyaSai Baba Center and Bookstore with the presence of His Subtle Body.This visit fullledthepromiseHehadmadetoElsieCowaninthe1970swhenshe invited Him to visit the USA. Swamis entourage included Sri Narasimha Murthy, C. Sreenivas and V. Ku-marwhoalsospokeateachmeengalongwiththeorganizersofthe meengs, Mr. Arvind Thiagarajan in Sunnyvale and Dr. David Cornsweet in Encinitas. InaddiontotheDivineDiscoursesofSwamiandthetalksofHischo-sendevotees,BhagawanBabaalsopermiedaquesonandanswer period in each venue.His answers to the quesons presented provided not only comfort to the quesoners, but also a deeper understanding of His mysteries. Swami also declared that an Ashram will be established in Southern Cal-ifornia and that a group of sciensts, educators and medical profession-alswillbeginaprogramtoestablishidealvillagesaroundtheworld, starng in India.These villages will have sustainable energy, educaon and healthcare provided to them free of cost by Swami. DuringHisphysicalsojourn,SwamihadappearedtocountlessdevoteesallovertheworldinHisSubtleForm.Aer His physical passing, these visits connued.As He Himself explained: Everyone in this world has 4 types of bodies: Sthoola Shareera!the Physical Body; Sookshma ShareeratheSubtleBody;AthiSookshmaShareerathehigherSubtleBody;andPara SooksmaShareeratheOmnipresentSuperSubtleBody.SthoolaShareeraisthephysical bodywhichanyonecansee.Now,IamnotinthephysicalbodybutintheSookshma Shareera(theSubtleBody)whichisbeyondthephysical.InMySookshmaShareeraIcan move to any part of the world without taking any me.In My Athi Sookshma Shareera I en-ter the dreams and meditaons of people and guide them.In the Para Sookshma Shareera, I am present in every atom.At this point in me, you are in the Physical Body.If you are in a room,youcannotseewhatisoutsidesincethereisawallinbetween.However,the Sookshma Shareera is not bound by desha, kala, and paristhi (space, me and circumstanc-es) and, therefore, cannot be seen with the physical eyes. KUMAR Before our trip here, Swami asked me, We are going to America, how many youth will be there? I said, Swami, we will have 15"20, or perhaps 50 youth. Today, almost 800 people are here in this hall! Why have we come here?We are all here because Bhagavan is here. Is Bhagavan only here? Is He not present everywhere?Why should we come here? What is this SubtleForm?HowdoIexperienceHim?WhatfeelingswillIhaveforHim?What shouldIexpectfrom Him?The mostimportantthing is,wehavesurrenderedour-selves and come with an open mind to this gathering. He will take care of the rest. IwastherstoneinmyfamilytohaveSwamisdarshanattheageofve.He walkedthroughalockeddoorofmyhouse,camestraighttome,smiled,blessed me, and gave me two packets of vibhuthi with a note saying Come to Puaparthi. Miracles started happening in our house " vibhuthi, kumkum, sandalwood, even cur-rency started coming out of His photograph. Its hard to believe, but if it happens to you, youll surely believe it. SwamibroughtmetoHisCollege.Reluctantly,IjoinedSriSathyaSaiInstute.I pined,ran,waited,cried,anddideverythingpossibletogetBhagavantospeakto me or look at me, but it never happened. Aer a year, He gave an interview to my parents and said, Your son feels I havent spoken to him, but the car came to the garage needing a tune"up. I removed all the rust and dust and ed new res, but a few nuts and bolts are sll loose. I need to ghten them and give it a fresh coat of paint. Then, I will be ready to drive the car. Within a few months, Bhagavan blessed me with His proximity and Grace. I always wanted to become a singer, but I did not have the voice. One day, Swami called me inside the interview room, created vibhuthi, pulled out my tongue, wrote Aum on it, and said Sing. Go into the bhajan hall and sing. I did not know that I could sing, but I sang. AsIgotolder,IdecidedthatIwantedtobecomeaBollywoodsinger.IhadtheaudacitytoaskSwami,Swami, haveyoueverlistenedtoaradio?Iwantanannouncementtobemadeontheradiothatthenextsongwillbe sungbyV.Kumar,lyricsbyAnandBakshi,andmusicbyR.D.Burman.SwamiseyesbecamebigandHesaid, Have you gone mad? I am God. I gave you voice. You are singing in front of Me and making Me happy. What else doyouwantinlife?Aerawhile,Hesaid,DoyouwanttobeMyinstrument?Isaid,Swami...Dontbeat around the bush. Yes or no. I said, Yes! I want to be your instrument. Then He said, Go into the bhajan hall and sing. On January 19, 2011, as eveningbhajans were going on at Prasanthi Nilayam. Bhagavan called me into the inter-view room and asked me, How are you, Kumar? He looked at me compassionately and said, Kumar, I love you. I looked at Him and said, Swami, I love you, too. Then He put His ngers on my shoulder and said, These hands, legs, eyes, and ears are Mine. This body is My instrument. It was the second me He told me this body was His June 16, 2015 7 instrument. Aer Swamis mahasamadhi, 24th April, 2011, I was absolutely shaered, having lost the love of my life.I did not know what to do, where to go, who to approach,orwhat to say. Then, in December 2012, I got a call from Swa-mis Subtle Form. The rst thing He said to me was, How are you doing, Kumar? exactly the way He used to ask me!Aer that, He went on revealing and proving He is the same God. I did not know Brother Madhusudhan, nor did he know me. In the rst interview I had with Bhagavan in the Subtle Form,Swamiaskedme,Whyhaveyoustoppedsinging,Kumar?Igaveyouvoice.Isaid,Swami,Youarenot there. Who should I sing for? He said, Who said I am not there? I am with you inside your house. I am always with you. I go with you, sit with you, and eat with you. You are unable to feel it because you have trained yourself to see Me as an external body, but forgoenthat God resides in your own heart. Then He said, In Puaparthi, you used to sing and make Me happy. There are 200devotees sing here. Dont you want to make 200 Swamis happy?Icriedandsaid,Yes,Swami.JustasHecommandedmanyyearsago,Goinsidethebhajanhalland sing,Hetoldme,Startyourmusicpraccetomorrow.Gotothestudioandsingforthe A Bridge Across Time al-bum. Earlier, we had a wish"fullling tree in Puaparthi, and whenever we had any problem, whether physical, mental, metaphysical, emoonal, or senmental, we ran there. We would give a leer to Swami or ask Him,Swami, this is our problem, please solve it. Now, Swami has brought us to the next level from primary school to secondary school. He told us everything when He was in Parthi.He taught us not tohavebodyidencaon,butweneverlistened.Now,Hesays, Pracce.Wealwaysrepeated,Godisomnipresent.Godisomnisci-ent,butwerarelypracceditwhenSwamiwasinthephysicalform.The me has now come that we really need to pracce.Pracce is the key, the mantra. When I was a student at Puaparthi, I took it for granted, perhaps like most of you here. Then, suddenly, He decided to leave His mortal coil.JustlikeSwamisaidtheotherday,Whenthepotbreaks,spacemin-gles with space and nothing remains. Swami is not just in Muddenahal-li or in Puaparthi.He is present everywhere.He resides in every per-sons heart. The second me Swami called me, I had booked ckets to Canada, as I thought I would get a job and sele down there.Swami said to me, Dont go anywhere.If I give you a job, will you be My instrument?I said, Yes, Swa-mi.ThenHeaskedme,Givemetwothings:selessserviceandselesslove.ThesearethetwoIwantfrom you. His main focus has always been love and service. Wewanttodoservice,yetweareunabletoexecuteit.Letsgetouracttogether.Letsbecomeoneinthis selessservice.HehastrainedusasaDivinefather.Now,asHischildren,wemustcarryonHiswork.Dear brothers and sisters, there is no me to waste! Bhagavan has called all the youth from all over the world to Muddenahalli this November. He is going to have a World Youth Meet from November 18"24, 2015. All the youth, who are ready to really run, be t and healthy, and do service for Swami, please come to Muddenahalli this November. SREENIVAS This place has aected humanity and human life like none other in the last 50"75 years. I am humbled at the quali-ty of the educaon imparted in the schools and the world"renowned universies present in this region. Industry of allformsfromherehaveimpactedglobaleconomiesandimprovedlives, livelihoods, and living standards of people not just here, but in almost every country of the world. I say this because the rst value Swami taught me is humility. What we know is limited and nite. What humanity for mes to come will not know will al-ways be unlimited innite. I was involved in building the Sri Sathya Sai Internaonal Center of Sports at Puaparthi.Itisa4,000"seatworld"class,mul"disciplinaryindoorstadi-um.IthasallgamesbuiltandmadetoperformasperOlympicstandards.Swami achieved the impossible by building it in 140 days.Todays stadiums worldwide are huge endeavors, not just for corporates, but for governments all around the world. ThedaythePresidentofIndiacametoinauguratetheStadiumcoincided with the 25"year Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the university. During the short gap between the inauguraon and convocaon address, Swami came upstairs. Only He and I were there. Very lile was spoken, but much was conveyed. Insteadoftheusualadversementboardsthatsurroundplaygroundsand stadiums, we thought this was an opportunity to showcase the right spirit of sports and life.So, all around the arena, we put up sayings of dierent saints.Swami was intently looking at some of the boards.He pointed to a parcular board and asked, What is wrien there?It read, Life is a game, play it.Swami asked, Do you play the game of life inside or outside?Do you live in an inner universe and outer uni-verse?We all divide life, in all stages, into an inner universe and an outer universe. The inner universe is me-lessness, eternity, innity.The outer is meliness, the moment of mo-ments that we connue to exist.If you really see this dichotomy, the enrecanvasandpanoramaoflifeisagamebetweentheniteand theinnite,betweenthemely,betweenthemoment,betweenthe millisecond which denes a million things; it could be a cardiac surgery in a child, an aircra taking o, a crical corporate decision to make, or a deal to be signed or lost it is a millisecond.But within us lies me-lessness,innity,eternity.Whatmagicwasconveyedinthosefew minutes by Bhagavan! Swamiwentontosay,Whatisinnite,whatwillstayforever,what was, what is and what will always be, is love.We know the American saying, Money makes the world go around.However, there is anoth-ersaying,Lovemakestheworldgoroundandround.Nothingis more powerful than love. So it all began with, Life is a game, play it.Swami dened the inner universe as the embodiment and perpetua-onoflove,andtheouteruniverseasceaseless,endless,relentlessactsoflove.Thatlovecanbeprimarilyfor ourselves,orlovewhereineverymomentofourexistenceislivedinlovingothers.Thechoiceisenrelyours.Love and service.Whatisininite,whatwill stay forever, what was, what is andwhatwillalwaysbe,is love.WeknowtheAmerican saying,Moneymakesthe worldgoaround.However, thereisanothersaying,Love makes the world go round and round.Nothingismore powerful than love. 9 Yesterday,atDivyogiandDigvijayshouse,Iheardsomethingextremelymovingandheart"breaking.Inmy45 years with Swami, it was statement of deep divine anguish.Swa-miwasattheirhomeandsaid,Ihavenobodyanymore,but whatIhave,Mydearchildren,isyourbody.Icouldsensethe anguish and sadness in His voice, that hereaer, the only body He has is everybody. I oer a proposion to you: Can we, from this moment, take on a newapproachtolife?Canwemakeourbodiesinstruments, eternallyembodying,translangandlivingthewaySwami would?Swami has said that we live in an inner universe, and we act, perform, and connue life in an outer universe.Can we, for every moment here on, think, feel, live, act, and perform as Swa-mi?What an opportunity!Is it not pushing the froners of every science and every school of educaon? It is a divine call to live as the Divine.It is not out of a book, but from the depths of our very heart, from the voice of One who has noform,livinginourheart.Canwemakeserviceourwayof life?Listentothecallandhavethegutsandcouragetotake that leap of faith.Your life will be dierent.Sathya Sai played the game the right way, and He wants us to play that with Him.Love all, serve all. Yesterday, Swami said we must take two steps to make the journey.Like in the army they do ale and a right step, He says le is love, right is service.So, every moment, love and service, le and right.Anywhere we go, eve-rywhere we go, let us make that our journey in life. NARASIMHA MURTHY In this life, I have done nothing but the work of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and I have no other purpose but to workforHim.BothKumarandSrinivashavebroughthometoyouamysterioustruththattoday,BhagavanSri Sathya Sai Baba is a voice without a form but, it is the voice of God. Why are we here?Is God not everywhere?He is everywhere, but God is going to speak to us here today.God, the loving father, mother, creator, is here to tell us why He sent us into this world, whether we are serving that purpose, and how to do it. God has always spoken through man.Hecame as Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus Christ,andMuhammadandsharedHiseternalwisdomwithmankind.Hecame as Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, lived in a beauful physical form for 85 years and said the same thing.The other day, Swami said, I have been telling you the same thingagainandagainbecauseyouhavebeendoingthesamethingagainand again.It is said there is nothing consistent with the human mind except its ten-dencytodritowardsevil.Thisstatementcanbeappliedtoallofmankind.In spiteofGodcomingdownanumberofmes,sendingmanyofHismessengers, and telling us how to lead our lives, we have not learned our lessons.That is why the Lord declares, I come again and again because man commits the same folly, again and again. I offer a proposition to you: Can we,fromthis moment,take ona newapproachtolife?Canwe makeourbodiesinstruments, eternallyembodying,translating andlivingthewaySwami would?Canwe,forevery moment here on, think, feel, live, act,andperformasSwami?Whatanopportunity!Isitnot pushingthefrontiersofevery scienceandeveryschoolof education? 10 BhagavanSriSathyaSaiBaba inthephysicalformwasloveandcompassion.IntheSubtleForm,Heisloveand compassion.In the formless, He is love and compassion.He has come here today to share that love and compas-sionwiththechosenoneswhohavebeencalled here.Dontthinktheorganizersinvitedyouhere.It is Swami who invited you and that is why you are here.Youheardthecallinyourheartandthatis why you are here. IsaluteSwamiVivekanandawhobroughttheeter-nalmessageofIndianculturefortherstmeto theUnitedStatesofAmericamorethan100years ago.Hiswordsspokenmorethanacenturyago andthetempleconstructedherendfulllment because God is here today in the form of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Whether He came as Rama, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha or the Prophet Muhammad, He taught us only two truths.In fact, two faces of the same coin one truth. Many mes, when He was in the physical form, Swami visited me in my room when I was sick.The rst me was inMuddenahalli;thesecondwasinBrindavan.WhenImetHimasa boyof19years,morethan50yearsago,Heassuredmethatmyfu-ture was safe in His hands.He had also told me that my mother was nottheearthlymother,butSaiMata.TruetoHiswords,truetohis love and compassion, He visited me when He was in the physical form, and also many mes in the Subtle Form. One of those mes, when Swami visited me, He looked around at the 1,000+ books in my room, neatly arranged in glass cupboards.Swami askedme,NarasimhaMurthy,youhavekeptsomanybookshere.Have you read all of them? I said, Swami, byYourGrace, to an ex-tent, yes.Fine.Aer having read all these books, what is it that you havelearned?Isaid,Swami,Ihavelearnedonlytwothingsaer reading all these books. What are those two things?Swami, rst, You pervade the enre universe; You are everywhere. The celebrated scienst, Albert Einstein, said, My concept of religion isrootedinmyreferencefortheSupremeIntelligenceoftheCosmic Powerwhichhasbroughtforththisuniverse.ThatSupremeIntelli-gence manifests itself in small details in His creaon in the universe in a way that our puny human intellect can understand. So I told Swami, As a puny human being, wherever I go, I know that You are there.You are everywhere.The rst lesson I learned is that wherever I go, I should feel Your presence and surrender my individual will to Your Divine Will, and always act accordingto that, always speakaccording to that, always feel accordingto that, andalways think according to that.Swami said, That is ne, that is right.What is the other truth you have learned? Swami, in our daily lives we come across many men and many women, young and old, children and old people, intelligent, unintelligent, rich, poor, scholarly, illiterate.Not only that, we also come across many creatures birds and beasts, insects and worms.I like the lesson that You want me to interact with every being with love and com-Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in thephysicalformwasloveand compassion.IntheSubtle Form,Heisloveand compassion.Intheformless, Heisloveandcompassion.He hascomeheretodaytoshare thatloveandcompassionwith the chosen ones who have been calledhere.Dontthinkthe organizersinvitedyouhere.It isSwamiwhoinvitedyouand thatiswhyyouarehere.You heard the call in your heart and that is why you are here. 11 passion.That is all I have learned. Swami said, Yes, these are the only two truths you have to learn. Let me remind you of the statement of Lord Jesus Christ when He wasaskedaquesonbyanadvocatewhoapproachedHim.He asked,Master,IdonthavemetolistentoYourlonglectures.TellmetheessenceofYourteachingintwosentences.Jesus said,First,lovetheLordwithallyourmight,withallyour strength,withallyoursoul.Second,loveyourneighborasyour-self. It is very easy to say, I love everybody. I close my eyes and say, I love everybody in the universe. But it is dicult to love the broth-er who has hurt us.It is dicult to love the spouse who has hurt us. ThenSwamisaid,Thesearetheonlytwothingstobelearnedandnothing else.It istheessenceofallthereli-gions,ofalltheteachingsofallthemasters,alltheprophets,allthemessiahs,alltheDivineincarnaons.But Narasimha Murthy, did you need to read all these books to understand these two simple truths?Therefore, we need not be scholars.We need not be well read in the scriptures. The other day, Swami asked a very pernent queson, All of you love Me, but how can you reach Me?There is only one way you can reach Me.There is no other path than this. ThenSwamigaveabeauful exampleoflileKrishna,whostolebuerfromthehomesofmanygopis,andran away and hid Himself.Many of the ladies and residents of Brindavan complained to His mother,Cant you con-trol your naughty Krishna?He comes and troubles all of us.The beleaguered mother went in search.She looked everywhere, but ulmately found Krishna only by following His footprints in buer.Swami said,When Iwas in thephysicalbody,Ihaveletwofoot-prints,Myfootprints.Inthewordsof H. W. Longfellow, on the eternal sands oftheme,Swamihasletwofoot-prints.Thesefootprintswereleby GodwhenHecameasKrishna,asRa-ma, as Jesus, as Buddha, and again, the samefootprints.Thosefootprintsare selessloveandselessservice. Follow My footprints and then you can reach Me, Swami said. Time stands sll when God speaks.This isthemomentallofushavebeen waingfor.AsKumarandSreenivas said, He speaks to us all the me in our hearts, but we are deaf to that.That is whyHehascomeoutside.Itisthe same Lord today, without the physical form, who claims that all our bodies are His.The Lord declared, I reside in the hearts of everyone.Today, He has come as the voice without a form, sing here, percepble to those whose spiritual antenna are awakened.Letus prayto Him to share His wisdom, sothat we may walk in His footprints, reach Him, and merge in Him, which is our ulmate desnaon.Swamihaslefttwofootprints. Thesefootprintswereleftby God when He came as Krishna, asRama,asJesus,asBuddha, and again, the same footprints. Thosefootprintsareselless loveandsellessservice. FollowMyfootprintsand then you can reach Me. 12 The Lord has His hands and legs everywhere, His eyes and ears everywhere, His head everywhere.He envelopes everything.The universe shines forth in the Lord.The Lord shines forth in the universe.The sweet relaonship between God and the world is inseparable.This is the word of Sai, the word of truth. Devotees,EmbodimentsofLove.Godismin-gledinthisuniverseandinGod,theuniverse shinesforth.Only where there is an object can its reeconbeseem.Therefore,whenyouseethe world,youshouldknowthatGodissomewhere there.For the object God this world is a reec-on.Youshouldunderstandthetruththatwher-everthereisareecon,thereshouldbeanob-ject.Therecannotbeareeconwithoutanob-ject.Therefore,fortheobjectthatisGod,the world is the shadow. Where is God?Though He cannot be seen with our physical eyes, though we cannot listen to Him with our physical ears, though we cannot know Him with our physical senses, the fact that the world exists is enough proof for the existence of God. There is no place without God.He is like the air which is omnipresent, which is everywhere, though you cannot see it or listen to it. All these people have come from India to America. It is uer foolishness for anyone to think that Indians breathe a dierent air and Americans breathe a dierent air.The air in both India and America is one and the same. All be-ings inhale and exhale this air, and that is why they live.The air does not know any dierence.It blows equally all the me, for the benet of everyone.The air keeps blowing selessly to benet men and women, old and young, andevenbirdsandbeasts.Riversowselesslytohelpothers.Noriverdrinksitownswaterforitself. Rivers ow selessly, providing pure drinking water to quench the thirst ofeveryone.No tree eats its own fruit.Trees yield fruits in order to sasfy the hunger of others. 13 Based onthese simple facts, the scriptures saythe human body is given to us to help and serve others.The seless nature of Mother Nature is proof of the seless nature of God.Therefore, wherever thereisGod,thereexistsNature,andmanlivesinNature.You have to understand the mutual relaonship between the trinity of man,GodandNature.NatureisalimbofGod.Manisalimbof Nature.Man is a part of Nature, and Nature is a part of God. That is why all the three coexist and live within one another.To the ex-tentthatmanbehavesinaselessway,evenNatureoutsidehim will also appear seless.As is the vision, so is the world. Whenmanislledwithegoandaachment,thesamethingsget reectedinNature.Therootcauseoftheexternalcatastrophes thatyouseeinNaturetodayismansmind,mansego.Natureis nothing but the reecon, reacon, and resoundofwhat happens inside man.The external world also reects the selshness which is within man. WhenDivinityemergesinthehumanheart,thewholeworldwillbecomeDivine.GodisDivine,Godisseless.Nature is Divine, Nature is seless.Because man is not behaving in a Divine or seless way, all kinds of catastro-phes are hurng mankind.There will be peace only when there is harmony within man and outside him.Peace will envelope the world when mans nature, Natures nature and Gods nature become seless.Everything has to becomeseless.Unlthen,theworldwillbefullof suchnaturalcatastrophes.However,therootcauseforall thetypesofdangerswhichtheworldfacestodayisnotGod,butman,himself.Whenmantreatshismindwith love and his heart with purity, then the reecon of God will be seen everywhere.Because of his selshness, man thinks that everybody around him is also selsh. You may have read the Mahabharata, in which thereare two per-sonalies:DuryodhanaandDharmaraja.Oneday,Krishnacalled bothofthemandgavethemacommand.HetoldDuryodhana, Go around the whole world and nd one good man and bring him here.DuryodhanabowedtoKrishnaandassuredHimthathe wouldndagoodperson.KrishnathencommandedDharmaraja togooutintotheworldandndonebadperson.Immediately, Dharmaraja also went out, obeying the command of Krishna.Aer some me, both of them returned to Krishna.Duryodhana said, I went around the whole world, but I did not nd one good person.Dharmaraja said, I, too, went around the whole world, but I could notndasinglebadperson.Inthesameworld,onecouldnot ndabadperson,whileanothercouldnotndagoodperson.How is that possible?The answer is one and the same. What was insideDuryodhanaandDharmarajagotreectedasthereacon and resound of the outside world.If you have love within yourself, you will see love everywhere. People come andtell Me,Swami, there is no love in the world. Theykeepsaying,Swami,onlyYouhaveloveinYou.Itistrue that I have love with Me.What youre experiencing is My love, which is geng reected in you.When you come and tell Me that there is no love in the world, it is because there is no love in yourself. When you develop love in yourself, you will denitely nd love everywhere. WhenDivinityemergesinthe humanheart,thewholeworld willbecomeDivine.Godis Divine, Godisselless.Nature is Divine,Natureisselless.Because man is not behaving in a Divineorsellessway,allkinds ofcatastrophesarehurting mankind.Therewillbepeace onlywhenthereisharmony withinmanandoutsidehim.Peacewillenvelopetheworld whenmansnature,Natures natureand Godsnaturebecome selless.Everythinghasto become selless. 14 The same sun gets reected in all lakes, in all dams, and in all wells.There are not dierent suns; one sun shines everywhere.Youmaythinktheyaredierentsunsbecause you see them in dierent bodies of water.It is the same divine lovewhichpervadesandgetsreectedineveryhumanbe-ing.But in dirty water, you dont nd the suns reecon clear-ly.In pure water, you can see the suns reecon very clearly.Thereecondependsonthewater,notonthesun.When yousaythattheworldisfullofnegavethings,itmeansthat yourownnegavityisgengreectedintheworld.Fora great or saintly person, everybody appears divine.For a wick-edperson,everybodylookswicked.Onlywhenyoudevelop lovewithinyourselfwillthewholeworldbetransformedinto your own reecon of love. IhavealwaysaddresseddevoteesasEmbodimentsofLove and Embodiments of Atma. If you queson yourself, In spite ofthat,whyisitthatwearenotexperiencingthegloriousdi-vineprincipleofGodwithinourselves?WhatSwamisaysis the truth.If, even aer Hetells you the truth, you are unable toexperienceit,whatisthereason?Youareyourselvesthe reason.Onlywhenyoudeveloppurelovewithinyourhearts can you experience that love everywhere.Divinity is not coming into you from somewhere else.Divinity is a part and parcel of yourself. Here is an example: In every piece of iron, there exists the power of magnesm.Even when the piece of iron is kept near a magnet, if it does not exhibit magnesm, the reason is the rust and dust in that piece of iron.The rust and dust of ego and aachment keeps the piece of iron bere of magnesm.It is foolishness to think that themagnetdoesnothaveanypower.Similarly,becauseofhis own wrong evil qualies, if a person says that God does not exist, it is a big mistake. KrishnawaslovedbyalltheGopikas.Atthesameme,Hewas hatedbyKamsa.ThereasonwhyKamsahatedKrishnawasbe-cause of the evil and aachment of Kamsa.The gopikas, however, withtheirpurehearts,couldrecognizeGodinKrishna.Whenwe havepuritywithinourselves,wealsoseeGodaspure.Similarly, Nature,whichisareeconofGod,alsolookspuretous.Ifyou experience negavity all around you in the world, the reason is the negavity within your own heart.First and foremost, you have to transform the negave to posive.I am man is a half"truth.The complete truth is I am a man, I am not an animal.Only when we get rid of the evil qualies of ego and aachment can we nd hu-manness in ourselves.When you take a human being to the Divine incarnaonortheAvatar,whichisthemagnet,thesamemag-nesm will enter into the human being. One who knows God becomes God.Because of the proximity to the mag-net, magnesm emerges in the piece of iron. Based onthis fact, it is said the rst step issatsang, goodcompany. When you get into good company,you be-comegood.Thatiswhy itissaidgoodcompany leadsustodetachment.Whenapieceof ironmingleswithair Whenyougetintogood company, youbecomegood.That iswhyitissaidgoodcompany leadsustodetachment.Whena piece of iron mingles with air and water,itwillbefullofrustand dust.Yet, when the same piece of ironattainsproximitytoa magnet, it also becomes a magnet.Whenmanisinthisworldliness ofegoandattachment,thereis selishness.Whenmangetsinto thecompanyofgoodpeopleand attainsproximitytotheDivine Avatar,healsoexperienceshis Divinitybygettingridofallhis negativity. 15 and water, it will be full of rust and dust.Yet, when the same piece of iron aains proximity to a magnet, it also becomes a magnet.When man is in this worldliness of ego and aachment, there is selshness.When man gets into the company of goodpeopleandaainsproximitytotheDivineAvatar,healsoexperienceshis Divinity by geng rid of all his negavity. Why are all of you are gathered here?You are all like pieces of iron.The divinity ofmagnesmislatentinyou.Itisnotpotent.God,whohascomehereasthe divinemagnet,hasaractedallofthesepiecesofironhere.Ifmanypeopledid notcomehere,itisbecauseoftherustanddustintheironandnotbecauseof anydecitinthemagnet,whichisnothingbuttheloveprincipleofthehuman heart.Egoandaachmentemergefromthehumanmind.ThatiswhyIsaidto you, Dont follow the body; the body is a water bubble.Today it is here, tomor-row,likeawave,itbecomesapartoftheocean.Themindisfullofselshness and self"interest.Do not follow the mind, which is a mad monkey, but follow the heart.TheheartisGod.Whenyouunderstandthetruthofthisstatement,you will get proximity to God and understand the truth. In America, the people drink soup. The equivalent of soup in India is rasam.If you ask for rasam, nobody will give ityou;theywillgiveyousoup.Ifyouwanttodrinksoup,youneedaspoon.Youcantdrinksoupwithafork.Maybe with the help of a fork you can eat rice, but you cant drink soup.To drink soup, you need a spoon. In the same way, the mind cannot understand God.Words cannot describe God.However much you may talk or listen about God, you will never experience God by external means.Just as you cannot drink soup with a fork, you can-not experience God with your mind.You can experience God with the spoon of your heart.Water mixes with wa-ter, air mixes with air, re mixes with re and only love can mingle with love. When your love and My love com-bine together, the whole world will be full of love. Alltherainthatcomesdownfromtheskieswillmeetthe ocean.How does it join the ocean water? The rain comes as drops, butallthedropsgettogethertobecomeariverandmergeinthe ocean.Aslongasyoudonotbecomeariver,thewatercannot merge in the ocean.A single drop will percolate from the earth and cannot merge in the ocean.When all the drops of water get togeth-er,itcreatesunity.Thepowerofunitytakesittotheocean.Throughgoodcompany,wehavetodevelopunity.Iknowthat therewillbealotofunityinbadcompany.Iffourthievesgetto-gether, there is great unity to steal things.The four of them work in completeunityonebreaksthedoor,theotherentersandbrings things, another fellow puts it in a bag, andthe otherfellow takes it running.All wrong things are done with great unity. Generally, unity does not happen among good people.When some goodworkhappens,peoplegettogether,eachaskingforsomeact ofservice.Theheadsortheleaders,becauseoftheirarrogance, rule over others.Such service is no service at all.I dont need such service.I want those servants who walk with humility, devoon and faith.These days, in congregaons, work is done only for twenty minutes but the reports and presentaons last for more than one hour! The act of charity is given for only Rs. 50 ($1), but the garland rewarded tothe leader costsRs.100($2)!Suchkindsofserviceareuseless.Weshouldnotinvolveourselvesinsuchservice.Service done with recognion, name and fame as the goals is no service at all.You have to do seless service.Only when you have seless love can you do seless service.Therefore, you have to develop seless love.Seless love is the Service done with recognition, nameandfameasthegoalsis noserviceatall. Youhaveto do selless service.Only when youhavesellesslovecanyou dosellessservice.Therefore, youhavetodevelopselless love.Sellessloveisthe object,sellessserviceisits relection.If selless service is happening,youshouldknow that selless love is also there. 16 object,selessserviceis itsreecon.Ifselessserviceishappening,youshouldknowthatselessloveisalso there. There is no need for Me to demonstrate or give any proof of My existence.In fact, I did not come down as a human incar-naon for My sake; I came for the sake of devotees.When I wasinthephysicalbody,Idideverythingforthedevotees, and today also, I am doing everything for the devotees.The bodyhaddeterioratedtosuchanextentthatitwaslikea verybad,oldcar.Thereisnowaywecanundertakealong journey in such an old car.Therefore, I have given up My old car and taken upon Myself a new car. Now Ican move very fast and reach very fast.I dont have body consciousness. Thesedays,peopleconnuetoliveinthebody,depending oninjeconsandmedicines.Theywanttoprolongtheirlife.Because ofbodyconsciousness and aachment tothe body, theyarenotreadytogiveupthebody.Swami,however, doesnothaveanykindofaachmenttothebody.There-fore,IgaveupthatbodyandtookuponMyselfthisbody.I amabletodoallgoodworkwiththisbody.Now,Iamnot limitedbyme,spaceandcircumstances.Myworkhasbe-comeveryeasyandIamdoingiteverywhere.Iamvery, very, happy and nobody will grieve over Me.Wherever there is seless love and seless service, I install myself there. All of you should think that your bodies hands, legs, eyes all the devotees bodies are Gods and everything is Divine.Prasanthi Nilayam is not somewhere else; it is in your own heart.Understanding this truth, involve your-selves in seless service with seless love.Only when we involve ourselves in seless service and seless love can weunderstandDivinityorGod.Oneday,aboyaskedMe,Swami,whoareYou?IamGod.Whatis God?God is selessness.God is purity.How to know You? Ifyouhaveanyquesons, youcanask.Iwillanswer them before we bring the congregaon to a close. IfyouwanttoknowMe,youhaveto becomeSwami. Onlywhenyou becomeMe,willyoutrulyknow Me.Howto becomeSwami? Become selless; you will become Swami.SAI SaiisService,Adorationand Illumination.Firstisservice,thatis, thepathofaction.Adorationisthe pathofdevotion.Illuminationisthe pathofwisdom.Onlythroughthe pathofactioncanyouobtainboth devotionandwisdom.Thatiswhat Saiis.Firstdoservice.Doit sellessly. Onlythenyoucan understand Sai. 17 Queson:TherearemanymiracleshappeninginChen-naianddierentplaceslikeSundaramandtheGuindy temple,butnotatPeramburSamithi.Isitnottruethat, as a result of such miracles, the devoon of the devotees increases? Swami: Is it because of miracles that devoon is increas-ing, or is it because of devoon that miracles are happen-ing?You must askthat queson rst. It is devoonthat madeGodmanifestindierentways.Itisnotthatthe manifestaons increasedevoon.If the members of Per-amburSamithiarealsoasdevotedasthepeoplein Sundaram and Guindy, a lot manifestaons will denitely happen there, too.That is what is required. First be, then do,then see and nally,tell.That is the way you can bring about a change in the atude of your fellowAmericans,andthatishowthewholenaonwillchange.When America changes, it will bring a lot of good to the rest ofthe world.Itisvery,verypowerful.Ifpowerisnotcontrolledinthe right way and used for the right purpose, it can become destrucve. Queson: Swami, how do we develop our inner voice, so that we may receive clear guidance from You? Swami:You see, dear bangaroo (golden one), the inner voice is always there.It is just that the noise around it is too much.It drowns the voice and, therefore, we are not able to hear it.In this hall, as Swami speaks, if all of you alsostartspeakingsimultaneously,obviouslySwamisvoicewillbelostandonlynoisewillbeheard.Themind makes all the noise, full of desires and aachments.It makes tremendous noise.In that noise ofthe mind,the voice of the heart is not heard.Otherwise, I am always speaking to you, all the me. However, because you are not paying aenon to what I am saying, and just listening to your mind, you are not able to hear Me.If you can control your desires, change your selsh desires to seless desires, make your mind pure, calm and full of silence, you will denitely hear the voice that comes toyourheart.Inaroom,wheneverybodyissilent,youcanhear thespeaker.Wheneverybodyistalking,youcannothearthe speaker.Reduce the noise of the mind. You dont have to work on increasing the voice of the heart; it is always there.Just reduce the noiseofthemind.Themoreyoubecomeseless,themoreyou become silent.The more silent you are, the more you can hear Sai within. Queson:Swami, where do service and charity begin? Swami:They begin with you, right there where you are. Queson:Weknowthat theAtmaissmallerthanthesmallestandbiggerthanthe biggest.Asinglegrainof sand has over a hundred billion atoms.An atom is composed of a nucleus and electrons that go around it.If you blow up the nucleus to the size of a ping pong ball, the closest electrons to it will be approximately between the ciesofNewYorkandLosAngeles.AllthatspacethatisinbetweenishowIperceiveYou,Swamitobeun-seen.All that empty space is unseen by me.Now, the Atma that is within the heart, is it the whole heart or is it simply the size of a grain of sand?Or is it the innitely small, without end?I believe that it is innitely small, with-out end; and inthis empty space that we can perceive with the eyes, yet hard to comprehend with our minds TothedevoteesofAmerica this is My command, this is My wishthatyouallshouldlive yourlivesinaccordancewith Swamisprinciplesofselless loveandservice.Seeingyou asidealexamples,otherswill change.Ifotherschange,the wholenationwillchange,and if America changes, it will do a lotofgoodfortherestofthe world. Reducethenoiseofthemind. Youdonthavetoworkon increasingthevoiceofthe heart;itisalwaysthere.Just reducethenoiseofthemind.The more you become selless, themoreyoubecomesilent.Themoresilentyouare,the more you can hear Sai within. 19 that is where I see that we are all one and there is no dierence. Also, I see aachment to the world is one of the greatest hindrances to recognizing this.We see all these things on TV, become so materi-al and feel I want this and I want that, instead of recognizing I am That.What puzzles me is the evil in the world. I dont know how You willdoit,butIknowthatwithYourGraceworkingthroughus,we shall have eternal peace. Swami:Atmaislikeair.Airpervadeseverything.Itisthereinthe smallest area to the largest of elds.Air pervades all.Everything is in the air; the air is in everything.That is the nature of the Atma. If you breakthepot,theairinsidethepotandtheairoutsidethepotbe-come one. If you closethe pot, you may dene theair asair in the potandairoutside.Thisaachmenttooneselfandbelievingthat one is just the body brings about all these dierences.If you give up thisaachment,theneverythingappearsasone.Itisassimpleas that.The body is just thecontainer a vessel in which the part of God that is bigger,Paramatma (God) is being encapsulatedasJivatma(theindividualizedsoul).Themomentbodyaachmentgoes,JivatmaandParamatma become one and there is only one that exists.It is we who create this dierence. Suppose there were no walls here; this hall and the ground outside would be one.The walls dene this as a hall and outside as the empty space or ground.Likewise, we have built these walls of body aachment which makes us feel dierent from each other.The moment we give up this, all are the same.Jesus said, All are one, my dear son, be alike to everyone, because He understood this truth. World peace will come if you are at peace.If you are not at peace, there cannot be peace in the world.One may sit in an ashram and sll be restless; one may sit in the market but sll be at peace. Once you aain inner peace, you will see its reecon everywhere.Outer peace also will be aained. Inner peace will come only where there is unity of thought, word and acon.When there is unity, there willbetremendouspeace.Thereisnopeacewhenyouthink something, say something and do something else.If you make it all one, you will have inner peace.Thats when you will also haveouterpeace.ItisnotNaturewhichismakingnoise;itis notGodwhoismakingnoise;itismenwhoaremaking noise.Itishumanswhohavetobeatpeace,notNatureor God.Ifyouareatpeacewithyourself,youwillspreadthe peacetothosearoundyou.Thispeacewillcomeonlyifyou think,sayanddothesamething.IfyouthinkyouareDivine, sayyoureDivine,anddothingsthatareDivine,thatiswhen youwillaainpeacewithinyourselfandpeaceintheworld outside. Queson:Right now, California is having the biggest drought in thehistoryofthestate.IpleadonbehalfofallCaliforniansto bless us with rain, with water, withYour compassionate heart, so that we can get over this drought and move on. Swami:Denitely,yes.Theenreworldisboundbycertain laws aconandreacon.Ifyoudotherightacon,youwill havetherightreacon.Bysowingtheseedsoforangesyou Ifyouareatpeacewith yourself,youwillspreadthe peacetothosearoundyou.This peace will come only if you think,sayanddothesame thing.Ifyouthinkyouare Divine,sayyoureDivine,and do things that are Divine, that is whenyouwillattainpeace withinyourselfandpeacein the world outside. IfallCaliforniansbecomealittle moresellessandthinkofeach otherirst,ifyoustartusingwater sparingly,therewilldeinitelybe enoughforeveryone. Godgives everyoneenoughforwhatthey need, but not for their greed.Swami isteachingalessonbywithdrawing waterfromyoubecauseyouare usingmorethanwhatyou need. Onceyoucontrolyour desires,onceyouuseitwellanddo notwastethegiftofGod,whichis water, the rains will come and it will be green again.This is only a lesson being taught to control your desires. 20 cannot expect apples to grow.If all Californians become a lile more seless and think of each other rst, if you startusingwatersparingly,therewilldenitelybeenoughforeveryone.Godgiveseveryoneenoughforwhat theyneed,butnotfortheirgreed.Swamiisteachingalessonbywithdrawingwaterfromyoubecauseyouare using more than what you need.Once you control your desires, once you use it well and do not waste the gi of God,whichiswater,therainswillcomeand itwillbegreenagain. Thisisonlyalessonbeingtaughttocontrol your desires. Queson: Not far from here we have what we call a Shirdi Sai Baba Miracle House where many, many amazing miracles are happening all the me.However, on the other side of it, there seem to be a lot of dicules, enor-mous dicules that the family is facing.Can you explain how the two ofthese go together,the many miracles but also the dicules? Swami:If a child is playing and hurts himself, and starts crying when he is in pain or diculty, what will the par-entsdo?Theywilldoallkindsofgimmicksandtrickstomakethechildquiet,tomakehimsilentandnotcry.They will play, bring toys, even walk andtalk like animals to make the child become quiet, because he has been hurt and is experiencing pain which he is not able to bear.To distract the child from his pain, the parents will do all kinds of things. Queson:When I look at our country, I worry about America and our future.Yes, it is very powerful and there aregoodpeopleanddevotees,andYouareworkingthrough us and guiding us.However, the dierence in wealth and pov-ertyisincreasing.Iseechildrenwhoarehungryandothers withsomuchwealth.Thereareyouthwhoaredroppingout ofhighschoolandhavingchildrenearlyorendingupinjail, and people who need medical care who dont get the coverage they need totake care oftheir families. I worry thatour gov-ernment isnt doing enough.What it is that we can do, as dev-otees,tohelptheeducaonalsystemandmedicalsystem change?I know what is happening in India Your super speci-ality hospitals and the educaon in human values schools.Will that be happening here?What is it that we need to do now to createmomentumforthepoorpeopleinourcountrytobe able to have a good life? Swami:Everyactintheuniverseisgovernedbythelawof acon and reacon.Whatever we do now reects on us later.The people who are suering today or those who are peaceful todaythereisdenitelyapasttoit,butletusnotdwellon that.Whatisimportantiswhatwearedoinginthepresent, because that will dene our future.If you sow a seed, you may not be able to have a tree ready the next day, and you will not be able to eat the fruit the third day; it may take a few years. Somemes, you might not even be there to enjoy the benets of all that you have done. Most of the people who do seva want to see the results immediately.If they dont see results, they are disappointed and they stop doing it.True seva is to keep working and to not bother about the results. The results will happen automa- 21 cally.If you have done your job correctly, the results will automacally come.Therefore, looking at your demean-or,yourpeace,yourhappiness,peoplewillcomeandask,"HowisitthatdespitesomanyproblemsinAmerica and in the surroundings, you are always smiling, you are always at peace, you are always happy? Then you will be able to tell them, it is the kind of guidance that I have received, it is the kind of educaon that I have received, it is thekindofassociaonthatIamwiththatkeepsmehappyand makesmepeaceful.ThentheywillbearactedtowardsSwamis teachings and values. Simply opening a school is not the soluon.There should be a hun-gerforit.Peopleshouldknowthatthereisaneedtolive life ina parcular way.My schools are not just for giving degrees.Just be-cause some do not have money and cannot go to another school, it does not mean that you open a school and admit them there.This schoolisnotgoingtobecomeanotherschoollikealltheother schools.Thereshouldbeaneed,thereshouldbeahungertoun-derstandandlearnmorethanjustworldlyeducaon.Then,My school will make sense.What is greater than worldly educaon?It isthehappiness,peaceandjoythatyouexhibit,thatyouexude whenyoumovearoundinthesociety.Thentherewillbeparents whowillwanttohavetheirchildrenadmied,notmerelyforthe sake of giving them free educaon, which is worldly, but for giving them the educaon that is eternal.Then, My schools and My ins-tuons will start making sense. If we admit just forthe sake of adming, there is no guarantee that thesechildren will become any beer than those who have received worldly educaon, have become very rich, and are least bothered about those who dont have anything.You might create more of that by simply opening ordinary schools.However, if there is a need for the values that I teach, thenthere is denitely scopefor the school.That need will develop when people watch you, your life, your behavior, and your happiness, and they also desire to become like you. The rich earn so much money by all the wrong means.At the end of their lives, they end up spending everything ondoctorsorlawyers.Nothingremainswiththem. Thepoorwhodonotgetaneducaonkeeplooking atthe rich,thinkingtheyarelesspeacefulthanthem,butthatisnotthetruth.Thesoluontothewholeproblemis somewhere in the middle an educaon that provides the meansto earn a livelihood, coupled with values that teach how to live correctly.Such educaon is denitely needed in America, and it will happen here if My devotees are ready, if people are ready to receive such an educaon. In olden mes, in Indian culture, it was not enough if you simply brought a child to school and told him that this washisagetogeteducated.Theteacherwoulddeterminewhetherthechildwaseligibleforthiseducaonhe was going to impart, and only if he found the child worthy of that educaon, would he be given educaon by the guru.My educaon is for life, not for living.Therefore, the day there is a need for this kind of educaon, and the day I have My people ready to support Me in this kind of educaon, projects will denitely happen.I have people withMewhoarewillingtosupportthis.TheyhavegivenupeverythingforthesakeofSwami.WhenSwami wanted a hospital in a place which was never even visited by C. Sreenivas, he immediately went, leaving his home andfamilybehindinBangalore.HewasthereinRaipurfromdayoneandstayedformorethanthreeyears.WhenIhavesuchselessdevoteeswhowanttoperpetuateMykindofeducaon,Iwillcertainlyopenschools, colleges, and hospitals in America, too. Queson:We try to stay in constant integrated awareness.We try to listen to our inner voice.Some days are gooddays,butmanydaysarenotsogood,especiallywhenwehaveproblemsatwork,withfamily,relaves, friends or colleagues. Some days are not as good as the days when we think we are spiritually inclined. I am is there, and you also can connect to Me within.Just reduce your desires,becomemoreseless,andllyourheartswithlove,andyou will feel Swami everywhere wherever you go.You dont have to go to a parcular place or do a parcular thing to aain Swami.He is always with you.Learn to be with Him.Along with that, satsang, or good company is very important.That will help you stay connected to Swami.A pot of water kept in shade will retain the water, but kept outside will lose all the wa-ter due to evaporaon.Likewise, with satsang, you will be able to retain this feeling within and you must preserve it and convert all this love into acon.That is the way it will connue forever.You can stay in constant awareness of Swamis presence. I have been very fortunate to work with the Australi-anyouth.WhenIlandedinAustraliain2001and wenttotheSaiCenterfortherstme,Isawonly seniorcizensthere.Istartedsingingabhajanina highpitch,andtherewasabsolutesilencebehind me.Nobody could sing that high, and they preferred not to sing.So I had to lead and follow!

Aer the bhajan, I asked the chairperson, "Sir, I don't see any youth here.Is something wrong, or are they on a service project? Or havethey gone somewhere else?" The chairperson said,"We haven't seen them for a long me."I said, "Really, then what about the other centers?" He said, "It is the same everywhere."I asked him for a list of all the youth who were registered in the center.He gave me the list and said they were all passive. Nobody was acve. I took that list and placed it in front of Swami's altar in my home.I said to Swami, "You need to take care of this. I'm going to start cold calling.

The rst call I made was to a boy who was in the middle of class at the University.He was reluctant to meet me, but nally agreed. Over a cup of coee, I introduced myself as an ex"student from Swamis College and asked him, Do you believe in Sai Baba?" He said to me, "Um, kind of.Only during exams." I said, "Do you like music?"He said, "Yeah," and I said, "If you like music, Swami will love you more. So I told him to bring his friends from the University and the four of us really jammed and had a wonderful me.For a couple months, we met once a week.Soon, 4 became 10, 10 became 15, and then it was me for Guru Poornima. I said, "Guru Poornima is coming. Do you want to perform in the center?" They said to me, "Well, the center doesnt like us."I said, " How can you say they don't like you?I will make sure they like you!Did you know that Sai Baba will be there?" "Oh really?Is He ying from India?"I said, "Yeah, He will. Why wouldn't He?"

WetookEnglishsongsfromdierentalbums.Wehadajazzdrummer,akeyboardplayer,someoneplayingan African instrument, and a couple of singers. Then we went to the center and performed.Aerward, there was a long silence.Finally, they said to me, "We could feel Sai Baba's presence in the center.We didn't see Him, but we felt it."They smelled the scent of vibhuthi and jasmine. One boy said to me, "Sai Baba was here!Do you think He wouldhaveheardourperformance?"Isaid"Yeah,100%!"Hesaid,"OhmyGod,Ican'tbelieveIperformedin front of God!"

This was exactly the feeling of this youth group in Australia.Swami was there. His love touched them, and 15 be-came 350 in a maer of 1 years.350!This is Bhagawan's love!If I was there, telling them to come for pracces, perform, or parcipate in service projects, they would not have come at all. Inamaerofjust1years,theseyoungboysandgirlswantedtolearntheVedas.Icouldn'tbelieveit!They would come early in the morning at 7 o'clock, before they went o to work in the cold weather in Melbourne! Only Swami could do this! Swamiwasn'tthereinAustraliainthephysicalformthatwasHisSubtleForm.Yet,Hetouchedtheyouth, spoke to them, encouraged them, and inspired them. In2006,SwamipermiedalltheyouthtocometoPuaparthi.Evenbeforetheylanded,Swamistartedasking Me, "Where are they? When are they coming?" The moment Swami came out, He said, "Have they come? I would like to talk to them."

He poured so much love on them, it's unbelievable.He made them sing in Prasanthi Nilayam.He made them sit along with the University boys there, with the Sai students. He said, "I have no dierence between the Sai stu-dents and the youth.Both are one!"Never in the history of Prasanthi Nilayam had this happened! Today, that 350 is more than 1,000, and it keeps growing

Recently,whenSwamiwasinAustraliainHisSubtleForm,Heaskedme,"Howmanyyouthwillcome?"Isaid, "Swami, 15 or 20." Swami smiled and said, "You're mad!You will have more than 300!" Ulmately, more 500 wanted to come, but only 300 could be accommodated.They all came and wanted to expe-rience once more, the same love they had experienced before and they got it. The third day, I asked some boys, "How is it?" They said, "It's the same Swami again!" They could feel it right in their heart. Every word of Bhagawan, spoken with love, pierced each and everyone's heart.It brought tears to everyones eyes.

In Prasanthi Nilayam, it was dicult to talk to Swami.We struggled even to give Him a leer. But now, Swami has said, "I am accessible to everyone. Anyone can talk to Me now.Just tune into Me.Remove the mind and follow the heart. It's as simple as that!

That's exactly what we don't do we always work with our mind and we don't follow the heart.Once we follow the heart, it's very easy and it's a broadband connecon!Audio and video, both will be available to us.It's just a queson of that connecon!

Much of the life we live and the world we live in has a great sameness to it.Yet, no two parts of creaon are the same.All of us as a whole and each one of us individually are dierent. Why do I say this?Be-cause,inthe45"50yearsofmyassociaonwithSwami,Imusthave heardamillionpeoplesayingsohearully,theirjourneyswithGod, their journeys with life. All the while, I have heard such uniquely indi-vidual, one"on"one, experiences with Swami.

I have always viewed Swami as a divine entrepreneur.I thought that if therewasonewordthatwouldhavealasngimpactonme,that would dene my life, it was entrepreneurship, as dened by Swami.

In 1940, Swami wrote a historic leer to His brother where He said,I haveataskandthetaskistogiveanandatogivejoy,love,bliss, 25 hope, strength to every being. I have work to remove the suering of every being.

What an extraordinary thing for a 14"year"old to proclaim!What a life"dening model for entrepreneurship!To go about that work, He had to translate that magnicent vision real"me, into a working model.I have noced over the past 40"45 years, that the model was establishing con-necvity.ThemostuniquethingaboutSwamiistheone"to"onecon-nectednessHehashad,doeshaveandwillhave,witheachandevery one of us.It is an amazing fundamental to entrepreneurship.How can you rst make the connecon, hold the connecon, further the connec-on, build on the connecon, and establish the connectedness? That connectedness is a result of Swami making Himself relevant to you.It could be Hurricane Katrina, a ood in Orissa, an epidemic in Africa, or a problem in your home. It could be any of a million problems to a million dierent people.He was relevant.He made His mark there.He was one with your suering.

He sent me to the most backward part of the country.To me, these were the beginning of the best mes of my life.BecausethemodelofentrepreneurthatHestartedwasthataproblemisbutanopportunityyouhave.A deeperproblemisamorebeaufulopportunity.Andtheworstofproblemsisthebestopportunityyouever couldhavegoen.SoSwami sentmetoChhasgarh,whichisthehot"bedofNaxalism,asocio"policalbenet movement.It happens to be in the most backward part of India.Here, using the same model of connectedness, we run a child heart hospital.It's incidentally, the only childrens hospital in India providing pediatric cardiac ser-vices.We do ve pediatric cardiac surgeries every day.We see 50 children from every part of the subconnent in Asia, and also from central Africa.

Oneaernoon,Igetamessagethattheheart"lungmachinehas malfunconed.Children are lined up.We have the largest waing listofchildrenneedingheartsurgeryinthecountry.Thenext morning,vechildrenarepostedforsurgery.Wecalledupthe closest hospitals.The largest corporate hospital gave us a number.Wecalledthenumber.Heunderstoodwhatwesaidandputthe phonedown.Therewasnosignwhatsoeverofaheart"lungma-chine,whichcostsabout$300,000.Youdon'tgetthemothe shelf!They're all made"to"order, and certainly you won't get one in Chhasgarh! Thenextmorningat8AM,avehiclepullsup.Somebodyasksfor Dr. Chakrava. So he goes and says, "I've been asked to deliver this toyou.""Whatisit?""Idon'tknow.""DoIsignsomething?" "Nothing to sign."It was a heart"lung machine!

Swamis statement rings true for every child or being, I have come to give ananda to everybody.So it was in the desny of that child to be touched by God.That is the spiritual lesson.The entrepreneur's lesson was:Be rele-vant in Chhasgarh, the most backward part of the country.When you come into free"of"cost, genuine, seless, and high"quality work, you become relevant.The man called up who sent the vehicle and said, "Sir, I considered it my duty to send this piece of equipment to you, even at the cost of deferring my kids in my hospital."

Recently, a youngster came to me from Puaparthi.He is Managing Director of a medical products company.He showed me some brochures about infant warmers and related ICU equipment.I had a look at it and sent him to In1940,Swamiwrotea historiclettertoHisbrother whereHesaid,Ihaveatask andthetaskistogiveananda togivejoy,love,bliss,hope, strengthtoeverybeing.I haveworktoremovethe suffering of every being. 26 the people who deal with this.A week later, an envelope came containing an amount that we had paid for about 5 or 6 baby warmers, and a whole lot of other things.A small note was aached in which the gentleman said, "Sir, as an ex"student of Swamis, I am ashamed to have charged you for equipment that I did not know was supplied to you.Please accept it as a donaon." The moment we make ourselves relevant, the moment this connecon gets established, Swami is working through you. In the Bible, Lord Jesus said, "I placed in you My trust. Honor Me with your faith." On the 24th of April, 2011, Swami shed His physical body, andisnowconnuingtostriveforthesamemissionof bringinghope,love,peaceandnon"violenceintothe hearts of all men and women.We say that He is in His Subtle Body, centering his mission in the Subtle Body.The rst me I heard the words Subtle Body, the Sookshma Shareera, was almost 15 years ago from Swami, Himself.That was when He revealed to me this mystery of His personality. Swami was in Brindavan.He went to Kodaikanal for the summer spiritual retreat with His students, a few teach-ers,andafewdevoteesonthe11thofMayandreturnedonthe28thofMay.Hestartedpreparaonsforthe original trip almost a month earlier. He would tell me to note down the names of certain students and teachers to accompany Him on the divine journey. I would very religiously take out a small notebook from my pocket and note the names down. On the 8th of May, Swami asked me, "Where is the list of people going to Kodaikanal?"I had made a consolidated list and gave it to Him.He went through the list and said, "Narasimha Murthy, you have le out two names." My immediatereaconwas,"NoSwami,IhavewrienallthenamesYoutoldme."Swamiasked,"WhereisMy name?" I should have confessed, "Swami, pardon me, I didn't write your name," but instead I said, "Swami, at the top of the paper I have wrien 'Om Sri Sai Ram.'" Swami said, "Even primary school children write Om Sri Sai Ram on thetop of their papers. You should writeBhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba because we have to sendthislist to the airline authories for geng the boarding passes."In those days, Swami ew from the old Bangalore Airport to Madurai, and from there He traveled by road.Then I said, "Swami, forgive me, I will write it now.""You have le out another name.""Swami, surely no," I said. "Where is your name?" "Swami, you didn't tell me, so I didn't write."Swamijoked,"Oh,youbeinghere,IshouldbreakacoconutanddoArathiandtellyouthatyouhaveto come to Kodaikanal?" 27 Isaid,"Swami,ifyoudon'tgetYourboardingpassandboardthe plane,thewholeplanewillbeempty."Swamibecameseriousand said, "If I am not there, not only the plane the enre universe will be empty." ThenHesaid,"See,Ihavefourbodies.IhavetheSthoolaShareera, thisPhysicalBody,whichislikeyourbody,createdfromtheveele-ments.IhavetheSookshmaShareera,ortheSubtleBody,whichcan go to any part of the universe without taking a moment's me. I have theAthiSookshmaShareera,theHigherSubtleBody,bywhichIap-pearinthedreamsofMydevoteesand guidethem. Ialsoappearin themeditaonsofMydevoteesandguidethem.ThatistheAthi Sookshma Shareera. In My Para Sookshma Shareera, the Super Subtle Body, I pervade every atom in the universe." That Subtle Body has come here.It does not take a moment to reach here.But He came here in a car, driven by Dr. David Cornsweet.That isthedrama.WecameallthewayfromIndia,withourpassports, visa,andplaneckets,towardSeale,SanFranciscoandnowhere, but Swami did not take a moment to reach here! That's what He nor-mallytellsuswhenwetakeHisleave.Beforeyingout,Babasays, "You need a passport, a visa, and a cket.I don't need any of those.You go by ight.I will come by skylight!"One who comes across the oceans by skylight, comes in a car driven from the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe!All this is a drama.One thing for sure He is here.How He comes is His choice.Oen, Swami has told us, My being in the physical body for 85 years was a drama.My being in the Subtle Body now is a drama. Dont be fooled by that.The truth is that I reside in every heart that beats. If you want to know Me, dont look for Me outside. There is a temple in Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu.You go into the temple with all the paraphernalia and there is nothing to worship.They worship the Subtle Body, which is not seen.We go to Mecca and Medina.What is wor-shipped there?Is there an idol or a form?We worship the Subtle Body of God.Swami says, If you want to reach Me, follow Me. God does not need mans proof ordefense for His existence, we need Him.But He wants our compliancetoHisteachings.ThisiswhattheLordsaidwhenHewalkedonthisEarth2000yearsagoasJesus Christ, If you abide in My words, truly you are My disciples.You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Theteachings belong tothe one who pracces.That is what Swami has been insisng all the me.There is no way that we can ever understand with our puny minds the mystery of His Avatarhood. About40yearsago,therewasaveryinter-esngdialoguewithagreatmanofwisdom of India. His name was Nisargadaa Maharaj, and he lived in Mumbai.There was a young man who was a devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Baba and a disciple of Nisargadaa Maharaj.One day, near the end of Maharajs physical sojourn, this boy had the good fortune of serving his Master by massaging his feet. There was no one else there See,Ihavefourbodies.Ihave theSthoolaShareera,this PhysicalBody,whichislike your body, created from the ive elements.IhavetheSookshma Shareera,ortheSubtleBody, whichcangotoanypartofthe universewithouttakinga moment'stime.IhavetheAthi SookshmaShareera,theHigher SubtleBody,bywhichIappear inthedreamsofMydevotees and guide them.I also appear in themeditationsofMydevotees and guide them. That is the Athi SookshmaShareera.InMyPara SookshmaShareera,theSuper SubtleBody,Ipervadeevery atom in the universe." 28 only the Master and the disciple.The disciple, out of curiosity, asked the Master about something which had been bothering him for a very long me, Master, will you please tell me who Sri Sathya Sai Baba is?The Master asked him, What did Sri Sathya Sai Baba say He was?The boy said, Master, Sathya Sai Baba said that He is Shirdi Sai Baba come again.The Master asked, When did Shirdi Sai give up His body? Master, 1918. When did Bhaga-wan Sri Sathya Sai Baba appear in His present body? 1926. Then, Nisargadaa said, Sathya Sai Baba is what He was in those eight years between 1918 and 1926.The boy was confused.He said, Master, I cannot under-stand anything.Then, Maharaj said, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is Paripoorna Parabrahma (the Absolute Su-preme Being). The boy was very happy.Then the Master said, What did you understand now? You did not un-derstandanythingthenandyoudonotunderstandanythingnow.Thenhemadeastatementthatisveryrele-vant to us.Idle curiosity and vain talk are useless on the path of spirituality.First, know who you are, then you will know who Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is. That is what he told him. This is what Bhagawan Himself declared when he was Sri Krishna.Neither the angels nor sages know My origin, because I am the origin of all the angels and all the sages.That mystery, which expresses itself as love and compassion, is here with us. Anothertouched its legsandsaid,"Theelephantislikeapillar."The thirdblindmansaid,"Bothofyouarewrong," becausehetouchedthetailandsaid,"Theele-phantislikearope."Thefourthblindman toucheditsearsandsaid,"Theelephantislikea fan."But the true elephant is none of these.On-ly those who have the power of vision can see the elephant.If you want to know God, it is like the aempt of the blind men to know the elephant.The heart is the 29 eye of wisdom in every person.It is not the physical eye.Through the physicaleye,youcanseeonlyphysicalthings.Howcanyouseethat which is beyond the gross with the eyes, which are themselves gross? That is why the Veda has said, "The ve senses are under the control of themind."ItisnotpossibleformantounderstandGodthroughthe mind.Whether the Avatar is in the Physical Body or in the Subtle Body, youcanneverunderstandwiththemind.Therelaonshipwhichyou havetodevelopwithGodisaheart"to"heartrelaonship.Itisnota physical relaonship.Because of the devoon of devotees, God who is formlesscomesdownwithaform.Itdependsonthedevoonofthe devotees and not on God. Prayto God as Ganapa He will manifest as Ganapa for you.If you think God must be in the form of Rama, He will manifest as Rama.If you adore Him as Krishna, he will manifest as Krishna.Itdependsonyourdevoon,notonGod.Thetrueformof Godistheformless.Itisnottheformwhichyoucanunderstand through the mind.You can only understand through love in the heart. Justasyoucanseethesunonlythroughthelightofthesun,youcan see God through the love in your heart.Love is what is most important.What kind of love? All kinds of love exist in the world.True love is love forGod.Alltherestareonlyaachmentsyoucan'tcallthemlove.Because of these aachments, you develop likes and dislikes.You also develop evil.Love has no form or arib-utes. True love is seless, aributeless, and formless.Love of parents is denitely love, but it is also aachment.Even friendship is kind of an aachment; it is not true love. Onlywhenthisaachmentbecomesabsolutelyselessdoesitgettransformedintolove.Onlywhenweaain such love can we understand the nature of God.There is no reason, no season, no birth, no death only that kind of love.I said,"Love is My form. Truth is My breath.Bliss is My food." My nature is the nature of love. If you want to understand God, who is nothing but love, you need to ll your heart with seless love.All kinds of emo-ons emerge from the mind, not from the heart. Prahlada was a great devotee.He was a very young boy, but he was very, very elderly in his devoon.His father was Hiranyakashipu.Hiranyakashipu was always full of ego and aachment.He went onpropagang, "There is no God.I am God.There is none other.There is nobody by the name Narayana.I am Narayana."But the child Prahlada developed great love for Narayana. He went on channg the name of Narayana.Hiranyakashipu asked Prahlada,WhereisNarayana?Hesaid,"Narayanaiseverywhere."HiranyakashipuaskedhimwhetherGodas Itisnotpossibleformanto understandGodthroughthe mind.WhethertheAvataris inthePhysicalBodyorinthe SubtleBody,youcannever understandwiththemind.Therelationshipwhichyou havetodevelopwithGodisa heart"to"heartrelationship.It isnotaphysicalrelationship.Becauseofthedevotionof devotees,Godwhoisformless comesdownwithaform.It depends on the devotion of the devotees and not on God. 30 Narayana was there in a pillar. Prahlada replied, He is denitely there in the pillar. With great anger, Hiranya-kashipu thrashed the pillar. From the broken pillar emerged Lord Narasimha.And with what kindof form did Hecome? The head ofa lion andthebodyofaman!HecaughtholdofHiranyakashipu,took him on His lap, and plunged His sharp nails into his stomach, killing him.Where did He kill him?He did not kill him outside or inside the house.He was sing on the threshold of the house when He killed him.When did He kill him?It was neither day nor night.It wasinbetweenthatHedidit.Ifweaskthequeson,"Whydid Lord Narayana manifest as Narasimha, with the head of a lion and body of a human?"There is an answer for that.Narasimha is one who is having both man and lion in Him. It was because Hiranyakashipu had a boon granted to him that he could not be killed by man or beast, by God, or an angel.The boon also stated that he could not be killed either in the day or at night, neitherinsidenoroutsidethehouse,norwithanykindofweap-ons.In order to kill that demon who was full of evil, God came in that form.However, Prahlada was never afraid.He did not depend on the physical body of Lord Narasimha.He comprehended only the love of Lord Narasimha and He came in the form of love.When the love in the heart of Prahlada and the love in the heart of the Lord Narayana joined together, He manifested as love itself. God has no form.Depending on the devoon of thedevotees, He comes down with a form into the world.Sai Baba also came down in a form for the sake of devotees.What is the meaning of the same God incarnang as a human being?With love and aeconformankind,Godcomesdowntoearthwithillusion consciousness and Divine consciousness juxtaposed together. GodincarnatesandmanifestsHimselfinmanyforms,depend-ingonthedevoonofthedevotees.Hecorrectsthewicked and protects the good.If you want to understand the nature of suchaGod,youhavetorstgiveupaemptstodevelopthe mindand,instead,developtheheart.Youraachmentarises from the mind.Hiranyakashipu could not nd God.The young boy, Prahlada, out of great love, prayed to God.God manifest-ed for his sake. If you want to understand the nature of God, rst and foremost, you have to pracce the Dharma of the Heart.Divinity is there intheheart;itisnotoutside.YouhavetolookforGodinthe place where He exists, not where He is not.God is not there in Prasanthi Nilayam, or Muddenahalli, in Italy or America, or Can-ada in a form.He is there in your heart, and that is where you havetolookforHim.ThereisnouselookingforGodoutside yourself.He is there inside you; nd Him there, inside. Once, Brahma, Vishnu, andMaheshwara had a discussion.The subjectoftheirdiscussionwas,aercreangtheenreworld and man, Where should we hide Divinity?In the word God, G represents Generator,O Organizer, and Whatisthemeaningofthesame Godincarnatingasahumanbeing?Withloveandaffectionfor mankind, God comes down to earth withillusionconsciousnessand Divineconsciousnessjuxtaposed together. Ifyouwanttounderstandthe nature of God, irst and foremost, youhavetopracticetheDharma oftheHeart.Divinityistherein theheart;itisnotoutside.You havetolookforGodintheplace whereHeexists,notwhereHeis not.God is not there in Prasanthi Nilayam,orMuddenahalli,in ItalyorAmerica,orCanadaina form.Heisthereinyourheart, andthatiswhereyouhaveto lookforHim.Thereisnouse lookingforGodoutsideyourself.Heisthereinsideyou;indHim there, inside. 31 D Destroyer the three aspects of creaon, sustenance and destrucon.Thethree aspects represent Brah-ma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Brahmasaid,"LetushideDivinityonthemoon;thatis where man cannot reach."Vishnu said, "You might have createdman,butyouarenotabletocomprehendthe power of his intelligence."Vishnu said, "Using this power of intelligence, he can even reach the moon.So, there is no point hiding Divinity on the moon." Then Maheshwara said, "Let us hide it in the depths of the ocean where man will unable to reach."Vishnu said, "Man can y as a bird inthesky.Hecanalsoswimlikeashinwater,butto nd his own Divinity hes incapable of doing it!There is nopointhidingDivinityinthebowelsoftheocean,be-cause man will reach there also."As the discussions con-nued, Vishnu said,"Letus hide Divinity inside man.He will never reach there."That is how the Lord hid Divinity within the heart of man. If you wantto know Divinity, there is no use searching for Him in the outside world.Sai Baba is within you, not outside.What is inside, search inside.Sai means, See Always Inside.Only then can you know God.Look inside, only then will you see.You will nd Baba B, bliss, A, awareness; B, being, and A, Atma.
