Let us sing to the Lord, He has covered Himself in Glory!

RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD EASTER SUNDAY April 1st, 2018 YEAR B

"Let this holy building shake with joy,

filled with the mighty voices of the peo-

ples." This line from the Easter Proclama-

tion (Exultet) that is proclaimed at the

Easter Vigil, really expresses what Easter is

all about for followers of Jesus. The resur-

rection is the proclamation of our salvation

and our building should 'shake with joy',

our Joy.

My first attempt to publicly express the

joy of Easter was during my first appoint-

ment after ordination which was at St.

Jerome's. Somehow Fr. Santa Maria and I

agreed to give the same homily at all of

the Easter Celebrations. That might sound

a bit difficult but it really was quite simple.

After the Gospel we told the people we

wanted them to join us in singing "Jesus'

love just bubbles me over." The building

didn't quite shake with joy but that build-

ing sure was "filled with the mighty voices

of the peoples." And it shook me with Joy.

Divine Mercy Sunday ~ April 8th, 2018

Z ŻYCIA KOŚCIOŁA 1. Od Wielkiego Piątku do Niedzieli Miłosierdzia Bożego modlimy się No wenną do Bożego miłosierdzia.

2. WIELKA NIEDZIELA ZMARTWYCHWSTANIA PAŃSKIEGO. W ciszy udajemy się do grobu Pańskiego. Po krótkiej adoracji. Kapłan bierze do ręki krzyż i ogłasza: Zmartwychwstał Pan z Grobu! Następnie przy drugim śpiewie: bierze figurę zmartwychwstałego Pana i podaje, aby była niesiona w procesji. Przy trzecim śpiewie podaje paschał. Po czym kapłan bierze Najświętszy Sakrament i rusza uroczysta procesja Resurekcyjna.W tym dniu wspaniałym, Piotr daje świadectwo o zmartwychwstaniu Pana. Paweł zachęca szukać Tego, co w górze, gdzie przebywa Chrystus po prawicy Ojca. On został ofiarowany jako nasza Pascha.On nas odkupił i pojednał z Ojcem. W tym dniu wspaniałym wszyscy się radujmy.

3. PONIEDZIAŁEK WIELKANOCNY Niedziela zwmartwychwstania rozpoczęła Oktawę Wielkanocną, która jest w Liturgii jak jeden wielki dzień zmartwychwstania. Dziś wspominamy niewiasty, które poszły do grobu Jezusa z wonnościami; polewamy się symbolicznie wodą. Mszę św. rozpoczynamy od pokropienia wodą, na pamiątkę naszego Chrztu. Radujmy się wszyscy, ponieważ Chrystus zmartwychwstał i króluje na wieki. Piotr prosi mieszkańców Jerozolimy o przyjęcie do wiadomości i posłuchanie uważnie jego słów. Teraz, Piotr, głosi zmartwychwstanie Chrystusa. Wyznaje przed ludem: „My jesteśmy tego świadkami”, jedliśmy z Nim i pili po Jego zmartwychwstaniu. Kościół prosi: „Strzeż mnie, o Boże, Tobie zaufałem”. Zdumieni cudem zmartwychwstania, dniem, który Pan uczynił; radujmy się i weselmy.

Maria Anna Kozlowski It is with great sadness that the family announces the

passing of our mother Maria Anna Kozlowski on March 24, 2018 at the age of 88 years.

Beloved wife of Wladyslaw Kozlowski for 52 years. Loving mother of Teresa (Mike) Bar-

rie, Roman, Sudbury, Marian (Linda) Hornepayne and Helen, Sudbury. Fondly remem-

bered by her eight grandchildren Alexandra, Vanessa, Cory, Rikki, Jurney, Briggs, Kwest

and Skyler. Born in Bogucice, Poland, Maria was the eldest of seven children. Prede-

ceased by brothers Joseph, John and sister Hannah. Our mother had an unwavering

faith in God and was an active member in the Holy Family Parish, Sault Ste. Marie, On-

tario before her health declined. Maria cherished the time she spent with her family. She

took great pride in providing incredible homemade meals for everyone who visited. She was an amazing

gardener and fresh vegetables were always on the menu. Interment at the Hornepayne Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Hornepayne Community Hospital, Long Term Care Unit would be appre-

ciated. Messages of condolence may be placed at the Fawcett Funeral Home website at www.rfffh.com.
